Horse****. Voting ones principles is never a wasted vote. It’s thinking like yours that makes elections of choice between Trump and Hillary our current reality. Some of us simply aren’t as willing to bend over and take it like you are.

You got that right, man, but hog was right earlier in that a lot of teachers saw this as just an early vacation.

It has also been a challenge getting food to the kids, and sadly for many kids it's the best meal they get all day. Some school systems around here have delivered that food via buses or had parents come to the school to pick up meals, but many of the teachers in rural areas (areas in which kids are bused for 1.5-2 hours) volunteered to deliver that food and assignments to our students. Our Summer Food Service Program will continue to provide food through July 31. This doesn't seem like a big deal to some people, I know, but it is a big deal for a lot of kids.

I don't think anybody has a clear picture about how things will look in terms of the timing of reopening or the shape of things to come in terms of our educational system. Virtual learning is here to stay...I've been teaching dual-enrollment online classes for over fifteen years...but it doesn't take the place of face-to-face instruction in my world.

If anybody has any good recommendations on some good UT masks, please pass those along! It looks like I'm going to need them.

Girlfriend is in Japan for studying. Has been for a while now before this madness began. Was supposed to visit her in May, I’ve routinely sent her gifts and such through the mail throughout this nightmare. My hatred for the virus and the political reasons through it are personal. I feel like I’m literally being separated from the woman I love over something being overblown. People with money can still travel abroad, in all reality what is me going and staying in my girlfriends apartment for a week going to do? Are rich people immune to the virus? The fake narrative in the media has got to end at some point. I’m sure it will after November 3rd.

This is why you are missing it. Johnson was blocked out by both parties. Hey, you don't like Johnson. Whatever, but to vote for Trump or Hillary and try to throw shade on Johnson ruins any credibility you have.

And just like the rest of the world NY will trend up in a few weeks. They didn’t lock down the virus out of NY. They did kill a lot of old people bc the Governor is an idiot though.
