Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I literally linked the article that included the study, but here's the actual study since you seem to like to tout the medical studies that you read in your leisure.
Identifying airborne transmission as the dominant route for the spread of COVID-19
We conclude that wearing of face masks in public corresponds to the most effective means to prevent interhuman transmission, and this inexpensive practice, in conjunction with simultaneous social distancing, quarantine, and contact tracing, represents the most likely fighting opportunity to stop the COVID-19 pandemic.

You should write your own paper detailing the science behind your statements and submit it for review.

I'm sure your peers would be glad to evaluate the accuracy of your research and subsequent conclusions; I look forward to reading it.
And, that is one possible conclusion. As we have already discussed, there are other theories, such as achievement of herd immunity at a much lower infection rate due to protective factors (such as memory T cells) in a large subset of the population.

Of note, the latter theory explains the course of the pandemic in Sweden, the incomplete penetrance within households (that are not masking or "distancing" from each other), and the lower infection rate in children. None of these three quandaries are answered by a mask solution.

How would you explain these?

Can he stop piece mealing this out and just go ahead and suggest a full body suit.

Might as well. Funny thing is why isn’t he telling everyone that their masks, gloves and clothes be disposed of in biohazard receptacles? I mean isn’t this thing a super potent, mega spreading monster virus? Why should contaminated items just be disposed of in regular garbage?

But you can still go to a baseball stadium while it is empty and sit between the only other 2 people in the stadium. The guy is a clown.

There are estimates on how long the virus can live on different surfaces/substances.. I'm not sure what the longest would be other than a host.

Oh he was just “dehydrated” and needed water. Yet the person sitting next to him didn’t have a mask on. Then he said well I have tested negative against COVID. He is a clown indeed.

I figured the ones with antibodies were implied. My bad.

That notion isn't settled either. I remember some accounts from S. Korea, specifically, of people having recovered and becoming reinfected.

Maybe false positives. That seems most likely, but who really knows, with the reports of mutations and all.

Covid just got my grandfather this evening. He was in a nursing home in FL. Has been battling Alzheimer's for over three years, so in many ways this is a blessing for him. Unfortunately the virus got into the home on 7/9 or 10, and he's now the fifth resident to pass.

Take care of each other, folks. And if you're the praying kind, please lift up my grandma. She's been with him for 69 years, and she hasn't been able to so much as hold his hand or hug him since March.
So sorry for your loss bama. I’ll keep you and your grandmother in my prayers.

Ah classic defense. So you throw that word out when you can offer zero proof. Got it. So continue to push the narrative.

Zero proof? Literally posted a picture of rally that showed that nearly everyone was not wearing a mask. Posted a picture of Cain himself at the really, with no mask, surrounded by others with no mask.

If the most common vehicle of transportation is water droplets expelled from the body during respiration and vocalization, and given the timeline of Cain's infection and eventual hospitalization, it's pretty safe to say that in all likelihood he was infected at the Tulsa rally, as we know also that 8 members of Trump's entourage were also infected and dozens had to isolate due to probable exposure.

Since we don't do contact tracing very well, you'll almost never be able to say with 100% certainty whether he was infected at the rally, but you can say that given the number of Trump campaign staffers infected, and the subsequent spike in cases that occurred in Tulsa afterwards, it's very likely that he was infected there.

Really, I asked in the other thread, what in God's name do you see in that man that makes you think another 4 years is a good idea? I really can't escape the conclusion that those who still support him just like the racism. What else has he been good at?
Getting under your skin, living in your head, making the heads of MSM and Dems explode, and pissing Dems and MSM off. Oh, and he had the economy doing well before CV, did well with trade negotiations, and he has done a great job of bringing the private sector in to rush a vaccine through, among other things.

N.b.: antibodies are not the most important factor in immune response to past infections. The role of T and B cell memory is more critical to long-term protection. Ab titers always fall with time.

I keep seeing this concern pop up from non-medical sources, but those of us who understand the complexity of full immune response are not concerned.

Side note: this could be a problem with a potential vaccine. Current prospects are not attenuated virus vaccines and are not as likely to induce memory. This could require yearly/seasonal revaccination.

What a mindset. Smh. Yes, it is worse. He didn't have dementia. Presumably, Cain was like most people and wanted to live as long as possible. I doubt that his family is as cavalier about his death as you are. Maybe you don't intend it to appear this way, but your attitude comes across as "He was already old (74 - the same age as Trump, by the way) and not in good health anyway, so screw him."
I come off as it doesn’t matter how you feel or his family feels.... it is his choice just as it is trumps choice.... nobody knows what he is/was dealing with personally..... someone very close to us killed hisself last year..... I had been around him a lot and never knew the actual pain he was and had contemplated his life. I have been other end too many times.... At the last place I worked at.... a guy laid in bed screaming out in pain from bed sores and contractures.... every single time the guy got sick.... his family kept sending him to the hospital to save his life..... the guy was absolutely miserable and begging to die.

Everyone is different.... some people are worried about dying and stay in a safe little bubble miserable) but they live to be 80.... some chose to live their life on edge with a thrill every single second but die at 40.... who really lived between those two scenarios.... it is not our job to judge how they choose to live or die in this case.

What does any of that have to do with whether or not the primary vehicle of transmission is water droplets from the nose and mouth?

You should probably actually read the research article before you come out and try to question their findings; just a suggestion.

I did read it.

Once again, there is no evidence that WEARING a cloth mask prevents you from acquiring the virus. They might block spit or snot from the unsuspecting, infected person, but the jury is still out. Remember that scientists and physicians have not recommended them during flu or respiratory seasons, and it wasn't because they were never studied.

The CDC clearly states that cloth does not protect the wearer, and I can get you the particle size of aerosol droplets, CV, and the filtration size measurements of cloth masks tomorrow. I have notes at my office and don't feel like looking it all up tonight.

Side note: I assume you are neatly shorn now? That was an impressive beard. My wife always "convinces" me to cut mine back in the winter before I reach woodsman.
