Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I still have hope. Maybe things could improve as more and more people seem to be finally taking this thing seriously.
The Premier League has been playing for weeks. At first, they had several positive cases, but over the past month I think they've only had like one or two positive cases.
To quote the little kid from Angels in the Outfield, "It could happen!"

He did not exactly say that. He said he could see a possibility of that being added to the recommendations. But if he does this is what I am wearing on my morning runs
Why the hesitation? Make sure the pros have it first again?

Either it's a good idea or it isnt. Fauci way more in favor of it than against. Especially if he is bringing up something new.

Trying to lose 50lbs to fit into the wedding dress?

What is the total deaths in Florida compared to last year at this time?

Tired enough of you asking this stupid question repeatedly, so..............

Here ya go, bro!

2019 Florida Deaths / Daily Death Rates by Cause

FL_COD.jpg

SOURCE: Florida Dept of Health - Leading Causes of Death - 2019

And here's the current graph of deaths caused by CV-19 in Florida, 2020

FL.jpg

So, what does this tell us?

(1) The average daily death rate in 2019 caused by Influenza / Pneumonia was 7 per day.
(2) Yesterday, 256 people died from CV-19.
(3) Heart Disease (#1 cause of death) + Cancer (#2 cause of death) in 2019 averaged about 254 people per day.
(4) Thus, CV-19 is currently killing more Floridians per day than Heart Disease and Cancer normally do, combined.

Tired of all the fringe lunatics here claiming "hoax" this and "hoax" that.

If you STILL think it's all BS, then GO INTENTIONALLY CATCH THE VIRUS.

Do us all a favor and help us achieve herd immunity. Or just die.

Either way.

Huzzah!!!

PS Clay Travis is an idiot.
PSS Vanderbilt sucks.

Thank you. Doubt it keeps him from wanting to make a comparison even though nothing can be inferred from it.

My son emailed me the test results. There is a heading that reads "Estimated copies/ML" and the number is 1.3x10 to the 7th power. The Dr told him that was a high reading, of course neither of us has a clue what it means. Today is day 5 and he says he still has a sore throat equal to strep throat, fever of 101.6, lots of coughing and extreme fatigue. No breathing problems.

Great thanks. So, in a PCR the copies/ml is really irrelevant, as the test itself multiples the genetic material by millions, in order to detect even a tiny amount in a specimen.

Did I say it was? I don't keep up with Georgia. I don't know if they allow other funerals or not. Are you prohibited from attending funerals where you are? It seemed like a fairly straightforward question.

Why would where I live be relevant if the elite are not following mandates where the picture was taken?

Again not mandate. Guidance.

Either way.

Did they follow the rules of quarantine when returning to DC? Did Cuomo follow the quarantine rules in NY after his trip to Savannah?

I dont believe the rules in many places for some lengths of time were guidance, but executive orders.

They are the quintessential do as I say, not as I do crowd.

Mkay tough guy. GO CATCH COVID INTENTIONALLY!

Please help us all since it "ain't no big deal". The rest of us can benefit from herd immunity by you catching it and... well... uhhh... probably living. Or maybe just getting really, really sick.

Either way, society will be in a better place.

Showing some real class there. It’s sad that you and some others just have a hard time with facts. This virus is playing out like it should.

Society would be much better off if we never would have locked down and put these ridiculous restrictions in place. The human immune system is far, far stronger than masks and social distancing.

Were funerals of certain sizes never banned?

I don't know. I know TN's safe at home order had a limit on the size of gatherings when it was in effect. It exempted church services and possibly funerals. I don't know what GA did previously, but from what I've seen in the last few minutes there is guidance on funeral size, but no mandate.

I dont think TN exempted funerals in the size gatherings.

They certainly weren't following the social distance policies and could have given the empty spaces I saw in the pic.

I dont change my opinion on them as the do as I say crowd.

It was a mandate in the A.

Sadness upon grief, tears without embrace: Ga. funeral directors prepare for possible death-spike

I can only find earlier references. Not sure what has happened more recently. This was the latest in April, that I could find without spending more time than I care to.
Updated long ago. That was during the lock down. We have a whole government relations team who interact with States and cities. Everything we have been told about GA is that it’s all guidelines right now no matter what is said in the press conference.

What is this based on?

Common sense. Suicides, depression, opioid addiction, alcoholism and other disorders have caused severe damage. But seems like that’s being ignored. People want to focus on the virus that has a 97-99% survival rate. Businesses ruined. Lives destroyed over nothing but a virus that like I said 8-9 out of 10 will survive.

You can twist it whatever way you like but history will likely view these lockdowns as one of the biggest mistakes in human history.

What are the age ranges for the deaths? Did these people have comorbidities? Did these people die WITH or BECAUSE of COVID? The last question is the most important because we know that even motorcycle accidents are being attributed as COVID deaths.

Anecdotal at its finest, do you question all deaths with such veracity? We are all well aware that old people don’t count as losses

Cool story bro. Next time you have surgery - before you get your anesthesia - be sure to brag about your super strong immune system, and tell your doctors and nurses that no masks are necessary.
