Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Tired enough of you asking this stupid question repeatedly, so..............

Here ya go, bro!

2019 Florida Deaths / Daily Death Rates by Cause

View attachment 296664

SOURCE: Florida Dept of Health - Leading Causes of Death - 2019

And here's the current graph of deaths caused by CV-19 in Florida, 2020

View attachment 296665

So, what does this tell us?

(1) The average daily death rate in 2019 caused by Influenza / Pneumonia was 7 per day.
(2) Yesterday, 256 people died from CV-19.
(3) Heart Disease (#1 cause of death) + Cancer (#2 cause of death) in 2019 averaged about 254 people per day.
(4) Thus, CV-19 is currently killing more Floridians per day than Heart Disease and Cancer normally do, combined.

Tired of all the fringe lunatics here claiming "hoax" this and "hoax" that.

If you STILL think it's all BS, then GO INTENTIONALLY CATCH THE VIRUS.

Do us all a favor and help us achieve herd immunity. Or just die.

Either way.

Huzzah!!!

PS Clay Travis is an idiot.
PSS Vanderbilt sucks.
Thank you that’s getting closer.... how many people are dying a die in Florida right now compared to normal

English if you please?
Sorry I am at a birthday party right now and was just typing real fast.... I have seen personally where several deaths be it COPD, heart related or any other counted as covid deaths.... one county near mine had pretty much cured copd deaths..... I was wondering how many more deaths have occurred over all than normally occur.

Here you go: Estimation of Excess Deaths From COVID-19 in the United States, March to May 2020
Question Did more all-cause deaths occur during the first months of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in the United States compared with the same months during previous years?

Findings In this cohort study, the number of deaths due to any cause increased by approximately 122 000 from March 1 to May 30, 2020, which is 28% higher than the reported number of COVID-19 deaths.

Meaning Official tallies of deaths due to COVID-19 underestimate the full increase in deaths associated with the pandemic in many states.

I remember Fauchi explaining the model they were relying on says 250,000 to 2 million will die in the next few months. Turns out President Trump's leadership in this crisis has limited those projected deaths to under 200,000.

The model said 100,000 to 250,000 and both Fauci and Birx were being laughed at, at the time, primarily by Trump supporters.

Or you the flu, pneumonia, H1N1, malaria, heart disease, diabetes etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

No, I don’t. I don’t believe in these ill conceived conspiracies. I don’t question how old someone is or if they had a lung transplant when they die from the flu or malaria. You had an argument with New York and New Jersey as well as California but not with heavily pro Trump governors in Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Arizona

Also that model had a caveat-- it did not factor in social distancing, masks, or other preventative measures which produced these numbers-

Sure, I’d love to watch the US implode because my kid died of a virus.

But that’s an emotional reaction to a personal and anecdotal tragedy.

That’s idiotic and not what I said. The topic we were discussing was children getting sick and the retort was that they aren’t very susceptible which is true. However, my response was that it wasn’t the child’s health that is a concern but the people they pass it to in the context of a school setting. I am merely suggesting that certain considerations be made for educators like social distancing and student cohorts like the CDC suggests not shutting things down

You made an emotional argument. Just admit it. My fiancé is a high school teacher and I’m obviously worried about her safety and well being, but in the era of active shooter drills, a virus with a 99% survival rate isn’t something I lose sleep over.

Good questions. As much as it pains me to say it I don’t think we’ll have a season.
The extent of the close contact in football dwarfs that in other sports. To think teams can avoid significant outbreaks during the season is unrealistic

A LOT can change in seven weeks. If the numbers don’t look better in a month, then I think we can get concerned.

I dont think TN exempted funerals in the size gatherings.

They certainly weren't following the social distance policies and could have given the empty spaces I saw in the pic.

I dont change my opinion on them as the do as I say crowd.
Great. You're entitled to your opinion. Based on your post I originally responded to, and the post you were responding to, I assumed you were both insinuating some funerals were being allowed and others were being prohibited.
