Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I disagree. It is not always easy keeping 6 feet from someone in a grocery store as an example.

I don’t have a problem doing it but that’s about my normal distance I try to keep from people anyway . If you are much closer to me than that I’ll increase the distance . 🤷‍♂️

My wife just got back from another country visiting family, one of her close friends was telling her about her husband recently dying from cardiac arrest trying to get to the hospital.... after everything happened the wife was contacted and was told if they could list her husband as dying from covid she would get a monetary amount..... she said list it however you want, no matter what is listed as cause of death he isn't coming back and I need the cash.

When the pinheads put us in lockdown, they also told hospitals they cannot do any elective surgeries. To make up for this loss in revenue, they told the hospitals that for every COVID-19 case/death they recorded the hospital would receive compensation (I heard $19,000 per case, but I can’t confirm this). This obviously has given the hospitals a good reason to list all deaths as COVID-19. There are confirmed cases where a motorcycle crash death and a gunshot victim’s death were ruled as COVID-19, so you can imagine how many more deaths are incorrectly being ruled as COVID-19.

Also, we know someone who contracted the virus. They went to get treatment, and were told to come back three weeks later for a follow-up. Of course after only three weeks they still had symptoms (as you would with any flu). At their follow-up, the facility turned around and recorded it as a new case because they still had symptoms. So, how many cases are being double-counted?

Do you guys understand how silly this line of discussion is? Viruses do not spread by passing, incidental encounters between asymptomatic individuals. It's been demonstrated and reported ad nauseum that transmission really occurs between close, prolonged contact.

If somebody is coughing, they shouldn't be out in the first place. As far as stores, when's the last time a stranger spit in your face in Kroger?

If this is an example of medical professionals employed at hospitals, the clinic on the corner is looking really, really good right now.
I said I'm finished talking otherwise I'd tell you how strange your comment is. If we cared about Life why are we no making a mandate on starvation or abortion....... covid numbers aren't even Close to those.... IRS ok, suck on that mask and be a good boy

Thank you . I keep a 5-6 ft distance because I like being able to see what people are doing with their hands and feet . I’ve done it for years , I don’t like people up in my space because you can’t react to stupid things people do when they are close , nothing to do with Covid . If I had someone spit in my face Covid is the last thing that would cross my mind . Lol

Interesting......so, you say numerous areas appear to be at or near herd immunity? That would mean that some peoples speculation of much higher amounts (millions and millions) of people being infected and never even knowing it is true. That would mean that my guess about it being a 5 year plus issue until we see herd immunity is wrong. It would also mean that the death rate is much, much, much lower than it is thought to be.

I agree about the models. They have been nothing but terrible. Most models in general can be manipulated to say anything someone wants them to say.
I've posted numerous graphs in the Political Forum thread, but Google "Sweden/Italy/New York City COVID deaths" and look at the trends yourself. Sweden has been at or near zero daily deaths for a week or two.

I worry about that possibility less if I see someone with a mask on, and even less still If I'm wearing one. Even close talkers and allergy sufferers seem more benign.

If you stayed at home you wouldn’t have to worry about anything or anybody.

You're really drinking the kool-aid. Fauci is considered one of the leading infectious disease experts in the world. He could have gone to any of the large pharmaceutical companies and made a fortune, but instead has spent his career in government service at a fraction of the salary dating back to his role in helping to solve the AIDS crisis.

I am sure you realize he is one of the most tested persons in the world, due to his frequently close proximity to the President, so if there was anyone who could remove his mask, outdoors, it would be him (noting that was a picture taken at a single moment in time when other pictures at the bar park showed him wearing a mask).

And can we please realize the basis for the use of masks, particularly the cloth ones. Only an N-95 mask offers the wearer real protection. You wear a cloth mask not to protect yourself from others, you wear it to protect others from you since you could always be someone who carries the virus but you're asymptomatic. It limits the "spray" from you to other 3rd parties.

What have you accomplished in your life, versus his achievements, that allows you declare him a joke?

I know what I read and where I get my information (Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Politico, The Hill and Drudge every day), where do you get your info, other than Infowars and OAN?
Why am I surprised all liberal ,I bet you even watch CNN. You just keep doing what you are told to do

I don't always have that option, but when I must be indoors in public, I wear a mask, because me and Trump are patriots, son!

plus, I just never know if that person in the produce area fingering all the food, might be you.

Eventually why even have teachers? Just have lecture sessions and then maybe online Q&A for students that need help. Colleges, primary schools, and businesses of all types are going forever changed as a result of our reaction to this virus.
One teacher per grade/subject to broadcast the lessons. Then, you only needed tutors/aids at less cost assigned to answer questions. Education costs can be heavily reduced, not to mention selling big buildings that aren't needed.

Be confident when you see the person that’s handled a contaminated mask all day over there fingering food. It’s all about your self assurance anyway. When’s the last time you went to a dine in restaurant?

Well, honestly, I'd feel quite a bit better if people wore gloves too, but the idea of keeping things decontaminated probably is being under-emphasized, and I hate the idea of all the disposable glove waste. So, regular hand washing seems more practical.

Dine in? Good question... It's never been my thing, anyway. Probably sometime last year.

Its difficult when you hear someone asinine...

Numbers: 6.5 million versus 600,000

Which is greater?

Stop the hate, I'm merely pointing out Facts, I'm amazed at how blind people are. You win, you got me with your cute hateful remark, il crawl back into my corner

Oh, I've been here since 2007, never blocked anyone until today.... you are my third.

I’m curious, as a Never Trumper, are you voting Dem, Rep, or Ind come November? With all of the lunacy coming from the Dems these days I’ve wondered if it might even push some Never Trumpers to vote Rep anyway. To basically vote for the party ideals in general rather than the candidate himself. I’m guessing most that don’t want to vote for Trump but can’t vote Dem will just sit it out.
Closest is Jorgeson. But her stuff is just the libertarian wish list with no real thought beyond them. She would be the dog that caught the car.

In all likelihood I will not be voting, again.

Amash would have definitely gotten my vote, but he never really got into it. There was nothing there to support.

The last time I was in a grocery store, I was in the produce section and wanted to buy an onion or two. There was an old man and woman that literally picked up every f'n onion and squeezed them like they were some kind of fruit. I'm sorry but pick one up and put it in your damn basket and move on, it's an onion!
If I am picking thru I use the bag as a glove so I dont touch any of it. I do that all the time. Not because of Covid.

Crazy stuff happening with this latest version of a corona virus.

The big question is: Why is this Trump's fault and was it used to hack Jeff Bezo's phone?

I kid, I kid.

Your thoughts on the Chinese containment approach and would it fly in the good ole USA?

Coronavirus outbreak: Latest news and live updates - CNN

We have a simple solution: Zinc and Hydroxychloriquine (200mg twice a week). Numerous doctors have treated people with this and CURED thousands of patients. It's also a preventative. Those who say there are health risks are either clueless or deceitful. 200mg twice a week will do no harm whatsoever. The tests that show adverse effects with Hydroxychloriquine administered 4X the recommended dose. It's far more likely to have no adverse effects vs. any vaccine that is approved! Why this is being suppressed by the media is a real head-scratcher.
