Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Well, honestly, I'd feel quite a bit better if people wore gloves too, but the idea of keeping things decontaminated probably is being under-emphasized, and I hate the idea of all the disposable glove waste. So, regular hand washing seems more practical.

Dine in? Good question... It's never been my thing, anyway. Probably sometime last year.
Eh. gloves are a worse mirage for safety than masks. First gloves are more to protect the wearer than whatever that person is touching.
Secondly, which goes back to masks, gloves aren't really changed often enough, or used properly which causes cross contamination. Theyre a good mental image I guess, but they often lead to complacency which is a bigger issues. Ex.. put on gloves touch the fruits and vegetables. Remove gloves ( who knows if this was done properly) moves cart to the back. Feels like they are safe because they wore gloves, so they dont wash their hands. Goes for a new pair, touches the gloves on top to get new gloves out. While putting on touches the outside of the gloves. So are you really any safer?
Scenario 2: Person puts on gloves, doesnt change them in between items, touches boxes, their cart, shelves etc, before they finish and wears the same pair the whole time.
Lastly, this doesnt account for people who touch their face, hair, or pull out their phone and play on it with gloves on. Which leads to major cross contamination.

I have some handy in case I feel like I might need them, but I'm content with my hand sanitizer.

Right and if you want to wear them for you then cool, but I wouldn't let that be something that makes me feel better about another. Ive seen how people handle and wear masks, I have even less faith about people using gloves correctly.

Do you guys understand how silly this line of discussion is? Viruses do not spread by passing, incidental encounters between asymptomatic individuals. It's been demonstrated and reported ad nauseum that transmission really occurs between close, prolonged contact.

If somebody is coughing, they shouldn't be out in the first place. As far as stores, when's the last time a stranger spit in your face in Kroger?
You are naive. It does not take prolonged exposure. All it takes is one sneeze or cough that falls on you or an item that contains the virus on the surface like a food package or milk carton that you may touch with your hands.

One teacher per grade/subject to broadcast the lessons. Then, you only needed tutors/aids at less cost assigned to answer questions. Education costs can be heavily reduced, not to mention selling big buildings that aren't needed.
However everyone feels about the virus, I'm thinking most all are happy to see the disruption this is going to cause for the university system's ongoing fleecing of American families.

We have a simple solution: Zinc and Hydroxychloriquine (200mg twice a week). Numerous doctors have treated people with this and CURED thousands of patients. It's also a preventative. Those who say there are health risks are either clueless or deceitful. 200mg twice a week will do no harm whatsoever. The tests that show adverse effects with Hydroxychloriquine administered 4X the recommended dose. It's far more likely to have no adverse effects vs. any vaccine that is approved! Why this is being suppressed by the media is a real head-scratcher.

Who knew that Stella Immanuel was a Vols fan...

I hadn’t planned on it I was just pointing out that option to the fear monger. In the past 2 weeks I’ve been on a golf trip with 8 friends followed by a week at the beach with family. I go out and about every day.
I also go out about everyday but take precautions(masks, hand sanitizer, etc). I even started wearing masks during Gym workouts the last couple of weeks). Hospitals in Bristol and Abingdon actually now have more COVID patients than they did it April. My caregiver knows an acquaintance who is on a ventilator in a local hospital. She is 29 years old.

Inane chatter here about Hydroxychloroquine.

Doesn't work so just friggin stop the ignorant jibberish.

Nation’s testing czar: It’s ‘time to move on’ from talk about hydroxychloroquine
Many doctors say it works and are prescribing it.’I don’t trust Fauci’s opinions and also the person you referenced here. Bureaucrats are not trustworthy, too many hidden agendas and politics involved. I trust the people actually treating people on the frontlines.

Closest is Jorgeson. But her stuff is just the libertarian wish list with no real thought beyond them. She would be the dog that caught the car.

In all likelihood I will not be voting, again.

Amash would have definitely gotten my vote, but he never really got into it. There was nothing there to support.

This. I might have voted for her but then saw her do the George Floyd tour. Made me think just another politician.

Given the mistrust engendered and advanced by Trump and co., even IF there's a viable vaccine developed, I doubt it will solve things. The anti-vax / anti science nutjobs make up a significant portion of the population. Further, I suspect others (including me) won't get it, because I don't trust a damn thing with even a whiff of Trump associated with it.

I'm talking K-12. If this is how they want to proceed, staffing can be reduced to a minor fraction. We are talking tax dollars. That's real money to citizens. Then it extends to post-secondary education. Can of worms is open if anyone has the nerve to proceed this way.
