Are you in Greenville? And I guess vb33 is in or near Charlotte like me?

I spent 8 months living in a hotel in Greenville mon thru fri while I built an apartment complex. Told my wife that I would be happy to live there, the people and atmosphere is more like Knoxville to me than Charlotte is ...by far. Charlotte is ATL jr...and it has doubled in size and population since I have been here. It is weird here, 30 mins outside ctown in any direction is just country which is nice, but the city itself, which is pretty big, is strange. Its either rich folks areas, many of which are Yankee transplants that are here bc of the 2 big banks HQ etc....or very poor, with all the crime etc that goes along with poverty. Very little in between within the city proper. Due to gentrification, there are areas on all sides of town where very rich neighborhoods, luxury apts or condos etc sit right beside projects and hoods that aren't close to safe after dark. So weird. I have noticed that those imaginary lines between where the very rich and very poor are extremely heavy police areas. No mystery as to why....

Once you get outside the city, the country is nice. Greenville seems very nice. All things being equal, I would rather live there than charlotte...we don't actually live in Charlotte proper though..I live in a small town right across the county line called Mount Holly. 15 mins to downtown, but safe from Dem politics and crime lol.

You betcha. This is why Trump did not want him in on this as part of the transition and Biden was crying about that. This gives 'em over a month to get this structure in order and hopefully make it tougher for Biden to change course

How'd we ever get a system where folks could work 180 days a year, almost impossible to get fired and retire for life in their 50s?

I worked my arse off to improve the performance of a local teacher and I lost. And it wasnt close.

The principal and vp had her back. The vp literally made the comment to me, straight faced, "I will not ask my teachers to stay past 3:15".

This was in response to me basically demanding the teacher needs to do a better job.
