Knox county went to all virtual for the last week before winter break. My disgust for the leaders of KCS has no room to grow.

They were out of options. The amount of teachers out at schools countywide was insane. That stuff isn’t public knowledge. I don’t know how many are actually sick and how much is from contact tracing. The school board and KCS did their best to keep it from happening, but really didn’t have any other options at this point.

Kingsport City is the same way my mom said. It's not that the teachers are sick, it's that they're losing too many to the quarantine rules.

My kid's teacher was out today, she wasn't allowed to work because her husband's waiting on test results due to a potential contact. If it's that dire why isn't she being tested? All of it is about 6 IQ.

I haven't missed a day of work since March (or in the past 5-6 years, for that manner). I get coughed and spit on daily, and we've probably diagnosed around 75-100 actual cases of CV19 in my office. We've handled quarantined staff, infected staff, and staff dealing with family illness and loss without skipping a beat.

It's really quite amazing what well-run private business is capable of doing without a bunch of numbskulls telling it what to do.

The logic being used for this stuff makes no sense. If church is even allowed you'll go for an hour with a mask on, spaced out, and no singing or talking allowed. But you can go to restaurant and take your mask off as soon as you sit down, talk, laugh, etc. and that is safer. Somehow.
