Must have taken a cue from our hero in NY that shut down many subway trains to make sure everyone packed tighter into the few still running.

My favorite story that I share all the time is that the city I lived in shut down the outdoor greenway system (that I've learned was a major commuter route for some people too) and made buses free (but didn't put caps on riders to start). So people can't be outdoors, but can be crammed into a rolling toilet paper tube. Neat.

My favorite is when I see the science follower couples, in their masks, at the grocery store.

Guess they missed the idea that they just doubled their chance of bringing it home. But hey, science.

This is incredible: California just smashed its prior daily record for cases, now at 20x the rate when their mask mandate went into effect. They also hit nearly 400 deaths yesterday, double their prior highest number in a day.

LOL. I get it. I had swollen glands and a fever last week and when I went to the Dr.'s office, I waited outside in my car until it was my turn. It was freaking packed in the waiting room

This is actually what my PCP and health department told me back in March when I had symptoms. It was more of a risk to get tested, both to me and others, than it was to just self quarantine which I would have to do anyway with the test. Obviously speeds on the test are a lot faster now. But it's been interesting to see how the dynamics have changed.

I've been quarantined for the past 7 days anyway, not because I thought I had it but order to visit some people.

Caught a typo in my post. Danger to me and others.

Their point was even with symptoms they were still seeing a +90% negative rate in testing. No idea what that is now, obviously plenty of people have it.

I think if you have a specific reason to get tested, which it sounds like you do, it makes sense to get tested. But if you are just generally concerned best to stay home. Since I wasnt visiting anyone it didnt make sense for me to get tested.

When I got tested I never got out of the truck and the only contact was the swab in my nose.

Wrong is a stretch.

Without the masks or lock downs they weren't the worst. Now with masks and lockdowns they arent any better.

They are in line with their neighbors. Going thru the same/similiar peaks and valleys. Mask or not. Doesnt matter.
