Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Well, after wrapping up my holiday meal shopping at Publix today, I can say with confidence people are going to be getting together with friends and family this year. Cashier said it's the busiest she's ever seen the place.
Yep. Just got back from Kroger a little over an hour ago. Busiest it’s been since before March.

I’ve heard this is confirmed. Someone has to be held responsible
So, is covid a “rampaging” disease where someone should be held accountable for holding up the vaccine, or is covid no big deal and overblown? You goofballs should make up your minds.

For the old and sick it’s serious, for the rest of us it’s no big deal. I have it right now and I’ve had head colds worse than this. If people held a vaccine back perhaps over political reason they should be held accountable. Our message has been the same the whole time

Overblown. I have said that from the beginning. I had it last week, and I am still alive and back at work.

mayor of tuscaloosa was quoted today as saying only 10% of police, fire and rescue departments had received COVID-19 vaccine, guess that means the folks in danger years need to stay off the road, not play with matches and walk to the ER

Overblown to the tune of 326k deaths. It's only overblown to those who aren't affected by it. Same as unemployment. We had the same idiots back in 1918-1920 who thought it was their right not to wear masks or listen on health officials. Spanish flu saw 675k deaths which would factor to 2 million today and we were well on the way to that with no national leadership and no protection for the vulnerable.
Hopefully the vaccine lessens the death toll. But there will many more deaths than there should have been before we catch up.

What do you consider " national leadership" ?

What do you consider " national leadership" ?
A president and congress working together with a plan to protect the vulnerable, limit lockdowns to a minimum and compensating business owners when needed.
Instead you had a president denying the problem. calling Fauci an idiot and threatening to fire him after the election. And saying stupid stuff like 100,00 dead it is what it is. Even used the word HERD. Idiot beat himself.
Idiot dems thinking giving free money was the answer were just as bad as repubs.
There was no plan and no leadership.

It's not the president's nor congress' job to protect the vulnerable or limit lockdowns. That is the job of local and state elected officials, why is this so hard for some of you to understand? The most we should ever expect from the fed .gov is assistance.

That is government for you. I get it, Trump is uncouth to say the least. Fauci is an idiot or at minimum an elitist hypocrite. Both R's and D's see the pandemic as a political tool to further their agenda. They did compensate businesses with the PPP, but they did a terrible job distributing it. Of coarse, they made sure people connected to them were taken care of.

Something I noticed you left out though. Where does personal responsibility come into play?

Well OK then

Define, with parameters, what should have been.

You don't understand. Some folks need to be taken care of from cradle to grave by the feds.

Yeah, let’s see how the states that have leadership with no balls are doing.

I know that reading isn't your strong suit, but the other states are obviously doing better than New York/New Jersey in terms of death toll per capita if New York/New Jersey lead the entire world in that category.
