Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

The wife and I have it. It feels like a light cold, worst part is not being able to taste or smell. My quarantine is over Sunday and hers is over in 7 more days.

They say zinc is good for recovery. Also aroma therapy like smelling essential oils. I didn’t bother buying any essential oils but I did try and smell wax melts and everything in the spice cabinet daily. Mine started coming back in 5-6 days although it wasn’t 100% and I’m not sure it still is.

Dang Biden is ahead of the curve.

I’ve heard this is confirmed. Someone has to be held responsible

No one can be held responsible but this is one of many things that needs to be done differently next time. We need a thorough report on how to handle covid-23 or whatever. We need to look at what we did that worked and what was a colossal failure and should never be done again. When lives are at stake, this year it took needs to be shortened. I hope this "report's" headline is that pretty much nothing (lockdowns) worked. The only meaningful thing in fighting it is an effective vaccine.

To be fair, in January/February you'd have likely had a hard time finding volunteers to get exposed to the virus. We were told it was much more deadly back then than it turned out to be. Having said that, I think we need to look at ways to speed this up when 100s of thousands of lives are at stake. Furthermore the next virus might very well be far deadlier than this one

Less than an hour in and this has been a great discussion about covid. The early parts about test kits, their prices and how the US has screwed up access to them is important as is the public health discussion. Add in providing masks as recommended by others in this thread and the pandemic could have been under control so much sooner. We have politicians not leaders

Well, after wrapping up my holiday meal shopping at Publix today, I can say with confidence people are going to be getting together with friends and family this year. Cashier said it's the busiest she's ever seen the place.

My drivers can not can not keep the Pepperidge Farms cookies and Goldfish on the shelf.
