Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Maybe you haven’t seen, but cities are having to build make shift morgues. Infections are at all time high and hospitals are pushed to the brink. All the while we are still dealing with the anti-masker, idiot Trumpers and virus deniers.

I appreciate his work, but I also spent an hour with the nurse who is over pulmonary unit at UT. This isn’t a ****ing joke or a hoax. I’ve made sacrifices to keep my family safe. I’ll bet you money he’s one who will refuse the vaccine as well.
I bet even most of the anti-maskers have made changes to protect their families too. You are just fixated on the most visual. And then you are basing some level of morality to that visual cue.

And without knowing the specifics of their situations you, and many in society, have jumped to condemning them.

No city in the United States had to build a makeshift morgue, and the vast majority of hospitals are nowhere close to reaching the "brink."

It's as if you get off on having the dumbest takes in literally every subforum which, in a way, is a somewhat impressive achievement.

Holy sh!t at the fear in that back read on KD and his family going out to eat . You can smell it . Some of you people have lost your damn minds . All of you have been to Drs offices , hospital waiting rooms , hospital rooms , shook hands with Drs , been in the same rooms with Drs nurses and sick people assuming they ( including the rooms ) were “ clean “ . You bunch of sheep never gave it a second thought during flu season , with TB, with flesh eating bacteria , and a whole host of things you could have caught because you didn’t require them all to disclose what they have been doing ( in detail ) the last 48 hours and when the last time that nasty azz chair out in the waiting room that you’ve all been rubbing your paws on was sanitized . Smh !

The case could be made that there's a violation of the Hippocratic Oath at play.

The most fair and reasonable thing to do would be for him to be open with his patients about his beliefs and activities and let them choose. I bet most of his patients would stay, but those with concerns may choose to go elsewhere.

My doctors here have been transparent with their behavior because they understand they have to have the trust of their patients. Violations of the sacred oath without consent of the patient can result in a less effective relationship.

@kiddiedoc, Roust shared a link of morgues overflowing in San Diego, CA. When providing pediatric care In San Diego, please be more careful of your off-the-clock activities.
Like I said, I’ve spoken with the head of pulmonology at UT and we are trending that way.
Keep aligning yourself with wackos.

Must not be wearing their masks. Maybe they should try a statewide lockdown?
I’m not for the tactics they’re using. I’m for personal responsibility, which has been my specific topic with you.

Are you getting the vaccine?

What is the typical load in a morgue? Is this another care like icu beds where a few extra bodies will overfill it?

Idk the answers and haven't seen it explained

It makes zero sense from a public health perspective. They're the most likely spreaders given their work and living conditions. They should be among the first to get it. But hey, racists gotta be racist.

Lol, so illegal aliens, who broke the law should get priority over Americans? Who's the racist? /\

@kiddiedoc 2 of the linked articles made reference to Knox county hospitals. The other 2 were about Nashville and published early to mid December. None of the links advanced the narrative of morgues overrun with corpses (as in San Diego). So, when you see immunocompromised patients who are vulnerable to C19 in your clinic, please be cautious.

I saw many articles about the Tri-cities bringing in a mobile morgue because theirs had reached capacity. When I actually read one of the articles, it said JCMC's morgue capacity is 7 bodies. It seemed like fearmongering, as that number could easily be reached by coincidence, completely unrelated to the pandemic.

There are a lot of facilities with limited space in their morgues . There’s also a whole host of reasons for them to be at , or near capacity one day and be only half full the next . Covid procedures that hamper the removal of the bodies to funeral homes that weren’t in place before this nonsense started is one of them . If you have a 7 slot morgue for example and a two car head on collision that kills 4 then have three elderly people die “ with Covid “ you are maxed out . Guess which headline you will see .

I also saw that. JCMC has over 500 beds. 7 seems like a pretty small morgue for a facility that size but I don't know.

It’s almost as if there is a Qanon for Covid Karens. They go there, read unsourced articles and Facebook posts from “experts” then come here all hysterical and spouting chicken little-type nonsense and no one can convince them otherwise.
