Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

A hemophiliac gets attacked and stabbed, and bleeds out and dies. Wouldn't have died if he didn't have hemophilia. Also wouldn't have died if he hadn't got stabbed. I assume you're of the view that the cause of death was not the stabbing.
Lung cancer was going to kill the congressman anyway with or without Covid. Hemophilia would not have killed the stabbing victim.

As for the variant and whether it poses a threat, I present as exhibit A: our mother country. The UK obviously has a variant that they're dealing with but has it caused a spike? Jan 8th their 7 day avg of daily cases was 68K. A month later it's 17K and dropping. Bottom line: the variant is NOT causing a spike

He did not die of cancer. How is this hard. If a morbidly obese man gets hit by a bus he didn't die bc he was fat. He was not even actively being treated for cancer anymore. Why are we even arguing about this stuff?

I don't think that article is completely accurate. I believe they found that their method was not as effective as other vaccines. However, there is still no data to suggest that immunity from natural infection is in any way inferior to the protection offered by vaccination. Nor is there any data that concludes that people who have recovered from natural infection should be immunized at a later date.

If this trend continues, it will take quite the reach to advocate restrictions (no matter what your view on them might be) within a month or so.
I hope we have reached HIT. But don't you think it's more likely that we are back to October levels bc the holidays have passed?

I do not. I hope I'm right. The decline in many areas (including the Knox Co area) happened too soon to be explained in that manner.

I can say with confidence that restaurants, sports, and churches are more crowded now than they were a few months ago. More kids are back to "in-person learning" this semester.

It's a beautiful thing. The immune system has always fascinated and amazed me.

Fair enough. All are important questions to explore through multiple parties.

So you ruin the meme thread. Ok. Are you this stupid? Another level of stupid you are entering. I won't even explain it.
Do you even post memes or just bitch about things?

He did actively have cancer, for which he had received treatment for the past 2 years. 'Despite years of painful, sometimes debilitating treatment for cancer, Ron never lacked the desire to get up and go to work, to motivate those around him, or to offer fatherly advice," his office said in a statement.' They haven't released his cause of death. Yes, Covid played a role. It is possible he died with Covid rather than from Covid.

He had cancer. He didn't die of it. Period.
