Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Seems they are never going to stop. For some reason people love the mask. Here there is a mask mandate in place but 95% of businesses don't enforce it yet 99% of the people wear one.

Bill Lee had his state of the state last night and all the dems wanted to whine about is him not issuing a mask mandate. We are damn near a year into the mask mandates and forced shutdowns. It's way past time to get back to normal

I still think this is a dry run for future shutdowns likely over what they call the "climate crisis" which of course is yet another hoax
People love the mask because it’s a visible way to boast of their obedience.

Where's the left to call out these idiots as they fight against the science? So thankful we've been in school since August and participating in multiple camps and sports leagues since then.

Dems always claim to have the backs of the disadvantaged and minorities. Where are they on this? Who do they think this policy is hurting the most? So the party of science and the disadvantaged is ignoring both.

See How the Vaccine Rollout Is Going in Your State

Here is a prime example of crappy "journalism" by authors with no understanding of how immunity works. Despite the graphical evidence posted yesterday that clearly shows a 50% decline in U.S. cases over the past month and nearly every state following suit, the article claims that

The projection below only shows the share of the total population with at least one shot based on the current rate of vaccination, but it provides a rough indication of when the virus’s spread could begin to stall.

In other words, the provided projection/graph COMPLETELY IGNORES immunity acquired through natural infection, which is essentially the ONLY explanation for our trend over the past month (very small percentage of people vaccinated, even less have received dose #2).

Real world trend, if it continues: we could be at negligible cases in a month or two.

NY Times trash piece: it will be at least fall.

Thankfully, there is no evidence that these mutations will escape immunity offered by vaccine or naturally-acquired immunity.

I thought the interesting part was the theory that the variant could have evolved in just one person who couldn't kick it because of a compromised immune system.

Mutations always occur in a single organism or virion.

As for the reported accumulation of mutations occurring in one person, I can't verify that with the available medical literature. WIRED isn't exactly a reputable source.

So....
Can we start having vaccine party’s? Put a bouncer at the door checking vaccine cards? Then once inside no masks, no social distancing, and normal facility capacity??
