Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

So you are using mask versus unmasked to estimate vaccinated versus unvaccinated? Serious question, not sure how you were coming up with your estimates.
Well I am assuming those who are vaccinated would have worked without a mask today. I guess there might be one or two who might feel uncomfortable without it

Could be. It was day one and they are usually pretty cooperative.

I am still amazed at the vast differences that took shape at so many places that all were under the same circumstances.

My employer took the first two weeks off (to flatten the curve). We have worked every week since then and no one ever wore masks (except for about the first 2 weeks back some did).

Liberal media's dramatic Flip-Flop! A year after left-wing news TRASHED theory that COVID originated from a Wuhan lab when Trump supported the suggestion - outlets now throw their SUPPORT behind the idea

The liberal media have finally conceded that COVID-19 may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory - after a year spent ridiculing the suggestion.

Within a week, on January 26, 2020, the first article blaming the Wuhan Institute of Virology for the outbreak was published, in The Washington Times. Yet most mainstream media disputed the claims, dismissing them outright or even decrying them as racist.

When Donald Trump, on May 1, 2020, said he had 'a high degree of confidence' that the virus escaped from a lab, the New York Times, CNN, and NPR were quick to mock his comments.

CNN, which by the end of the Trump administration was brazen in its hostility to the president and his advisors, was almost gleeful in its mockery of the idea that the virus could have come from a laboratory.

The Washington Post, New York Times, and NPR were equally dismissive of suggestions that the virus could have come from a laboratory.

Some outlets, such as the Huffington Post, even branded any suggestion the virus could have stemmed from a lab as a 'toxic conspiracy theory.'

Few were able to suggest that COVID-19 could have stemmed from a research facility without backlash but that didn't stop some media, including the Daily Mail, from questioning the narrative.

Fox News' Tucker Carlson was also clear in demanding an investigation into whether it could have escaped from the lab.

Scientists: 'Exactly zero' evidence COVID-19 came from a lab

Michael Osterholm, who was on Bidenโ€™s Covid Advisory Board, is the director of CIDRAP. One year ago his agency claimed lab leak was a conspiracy theory.

thank God the "Surge of May" is over in Alabama...(for those not following, the "surge" was 2 large backlogs of tests that got added on 2 days totally skewing the results - if you look across the graph you see this happened several times; at least this time no one freaked out).

The amount of people still left that refuse to draw the rational and correct conclusions from this data is mind-boggling.

I'm sure Alabama is not alone - this most recent incident skewed national numbers since it over estimated the 7 week case average by nearly 5000 cases - the national 7 week average was in the 25-30K cases at the time so the Alabama numbers boosted the national by up to 20%.

Where are you located?

Knox county 8 cases per day average over last week. 4 cases today.

Like many places they have these metrics set up as red light, yellow light, green light.

I dont give a damn enough to investigate them but we are currently at 3 green lights and 2 yellow. I think your metrics suck if they arent at 5 green given the numbers we are seeing.

My office in Maryland has been closed since March 2020.

I know. The differences are insane. That is why I posted my experience, for comparison.

I was lucky enough to have an employer that thinks similarly to myself. We literally almost did nothing with regard to covid and all turned out well.

Analysis: What Rand Paul gets wrong on vaccines โ€” CNN Politics

So Paul is wrong not to get vaccinated because according to the expert and the cdc, we donโ€™t know how long natural immunity remains. Of course, we donโ€™t know how long vaccinated immunity remains either, but apparently thatโ€™s different. Also, the question of natural immunity is based on research showing diminishing antibody levels over time. However that research is very โ€œ2020โ€ and thereโ€™s more and more research pointing to significant T/B cell immunity.

But, even if you can refute scientifically those statements by the expert and CDC, CNN makes sure to cover any other objections by saying Paul should be vaccinated for โ€œsymbolism and messaging.โ€
