The thing that makes me saddest is it doesn't matter how many of these examples of obvious media insanity are shared, there will continually be those that gobble this feces up daily and rush to the defense of the media at the drop of a hat.

Journalist couldnโ€™t do real journalism on this basically because Trump suggested that the virus originated in Wuhan, China. Then you had Facebook and Twitter โ€œfact checkingโ€ / censoring such claims. All because they were too vested in being anti-Trump versus pro truth.

The takeaway here should be the media is now a danger to society and cannot be trusted. Always be wary of what a journalist tells you is true. They can no longer be trusted to deliver facts instead of propaganda.

It all goes back to who owns the biggest media outlets.

We hold a few different waste handling and generator permits in NJ and doing our renewal now. Below is one of the questions and my answer on the renewal. Too much?

COVID-19 Impacts on solid Waste Industry:

  1. Please provide a brief description on how COVID-19 affected your solid waste business?
The governmental overreaction in issuing unconstitutional stay at home orders and business closures resulted in clients deferring services which in turn affected the environment. Furthermore the federal and state governments outlandish fear mongering and uncontrolled wasteful spending on stimulus has made finding employees extremely difficult. The positive from this is that several of our competitors took your orders seriously and scaled back operations which provided us an opportunity to fill the void and gain business in several sectors. This business was captured from NJ native companies.

Local radio news opened with a story at the top of the hour about a deadly mosquito virus that has popped up in Tampa area. She resisted as long as she could before noting the victims were chickens.

You can see this coming from a mile away.
Hope the University of South Carolina takes precaution.

From the article:

Hospitalization numbers look worse for COVID-19. But those numbers are inflated as a result of the CDC's reporting rules. The CDC requires every child admitted to a hospital to be tested for the coronavirus.

Dr. Roshni Mathew, a pediatric infectious disease specialist at the Stanford University School of Medicine, says experience at her hospital found that 45% of the time, a child who tested positive for the coronavirus was not actually sick with COVID-19. The findings have been published online in the journal Hospital Pediatrics.

In those cases, hospitalization was due to "a completely unrelated diagnosis, like appendicitis or femur fracture or something else," she says.

Believe @kiddiedoc was saying this too? The COVID numbers and threat to children have been grossly overstated.

The difference in reporting and basis of facts between these articles and the ones the drama queens and bro's post is astonishing. There are no platitudes, disguised opinions, and anecdotes littered throughout the article, there is stuff like this linked in the above article:

hpeds.2021-006001.full.pdf (aappublications.org)

Flu Vaccination Coverage, United States, 2019โ€“20 Influenza Season | FluVaxView | Seasonal Influenza (Flu) | CDC

The fear mongering and nonsense needs to stop. At some point one would hope the drama queens will finally listen to reason.

Look. At. The. Data.

..and stop with the sensational headlines to make a point.

If half the adults are now "inoculated" then how can this statement be true:

The risk for unvaccinated people is in fact about the same as it was in the middle of the January surge, Wen said citing an analysis from the Washington Post.

Seems to me their risk just got cut in half. What am I missing?

you aren't missing anything - in addition to the massive increase in vaccinations since then; we've also increased my millions the number of people who've been infected and have antibodies.

Correct. When you take into consideration the sizeable fraction of the country that has already recovered from natural infection, our immunity rate is now likely in the neighborhood of 75-85%. This threshold significantly decreases the rate of transmission and the chance of exposure. That quoted comment from the "article" above has no scientific basis, whatsoever.
