Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It's almost like it came from someone at the market and not necessarily from the market.

Lucey says if the new data are accurate, the first human infections must have occurred in November 2019—if not earlier—because there is an incubation time between infection and symptoms surfacing. If so, the virus possibly spread silently between people in Wuhan—and perhaps elsewhere—before the cluster of cases from the city’s now-infamous Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market was discovered in late December. “The virus came into that marketplace before it came out of that marketplace,” Lucey asserts.

The real question now is how much time has elapsed between it initially being spread and the authorities getting serious about stopping it.

If the first infections occurred in November, then that would mean, what, close to 2 months went by? I suppose it depends on when you deem authorities "got serious" about stopping it. Probably the day they decided to quarantine Wuhan.

The good news is there seems to be differing information on whether it can be transmitted before symptoms appear. A video online from NBC this morning suggests there are no confirmed cases of it spreading during the incubation period.
I don't have to tell you but I wouldn't trust that info.

I don't know how long it would take to include this particular strain, but rapid PCR testing is available for other Coronaviruses at even our local Children's hospital, and results are available within a day.
I just asked for clarification, and the CDC is handling all of the tests and it is a 3 day turn around time. All lab work is sent to them. This is provided to me from a pathologist who has connections to the CDC but does not work for them.

Coordinates: Sichuan ’s Guanghan son-in-law returned from Wuhan to play mahjong and entertain drinking. No one paid attention because of concealing the address of the part-time worker. Until today, the fever was confirmed and the neighbors were angry, so the picture in the video appeared.

Why does stuff like this always originate in China? You don't see Denmark having a ground zero major pandemic.
Despite how some of the city's look and the money they have on a global stage when you get out into the rural areas they are a third world country.
