Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You understand that blacks have a hesitancy based on history of being racially singled out for abusive study's on vaccines, like the Tuskegee study? That's a cultural issue that has nothing to do with the partisanship factors at work here. It's distinctly different from the partisan divide Donnie foisted. As I said, there are exceptions - but the trumpers who refuse to get it are by and large not doing so because they've been conditioned to believe they're betraying their political conscious if they do. They've simply convinced themselves that they're justified because <insert any other reason here>.

Still it cracks me up that his minions bend over backwards to tell us that he should get all the credit for "warp speeding" it to market, while out o the other side of their mouths tell us it's not trustable because it was rushed.
And theres no way evil, russian stooge, trump's government would give the big bad pharma companies a blank check and legal cart blanche to perform similar experiments on the whole nation.

When it comes to the government if it seems to go good to be true, it is.

Or maybe some of the blacks don’t really give AF about getting VAXED. I disagree but respect their decision. Comparing the infamous Syphilis study to C19 really?

May be some blacks don't, I never spoke in absolutes.

The Tuskegee study is often cited as a reason why blacks don't trust the government and especially its health care initiatives. it's not a comparison, some within the black community are using the study as a reason for their hesitance. You aren't being asked to agree or disagree and I'm not even suggesting it's a valid reason - but it is a reason being posited.

I just dont buy it as an acceptable excuse. Anyone using it is choosing ignorance. I mean how far down the rabbit hole would you have to go to explain how this conspiracy works?

I'm all for not trusting government btw.

No thanks, you've already made up your mind when I see this as your "data" for your assertion.

I've had the virus, science has shown I am now protected. I expect many other educated people of come to the same understanding and thus arent getting the vaccine.

Having had the virus and thus having immunity as a reason not to get the vax wasn't really a variable or argument being discussed. Few would argue with your rationale.

I realize all of that but added my opinion too. That god awful study was nearly 9 decades ago. The AAs need to trust good Ole Joe. He has their best interest at heart.

I’m just waiting for you to go to the hood and find somebody that that knows what the “ Tuskegee study” is , hell it doesn’t have to be the hood , go to white bread Ohio and find 10 people of any race or nationality . You probably can’t find 10 that even knows that there a place called Tuskegee .

How much less could you care?

Also, I don't believe that. It's pretty clear where the trumpers stand on vaccinations, there are exceptions of course - but fringe guys like you are almost certainly looking for validation to claim they were right about the covid vaccine.
So?

You are correct. It is one of many factors.

There are more reasons to be hesitant of getting the jab than there are reasons to get it.

What is the "this" you're referring to? I was specifically referring to the partisan and trumper hesitancy before the distinctly different racial element was shoehorned into the conversation.

Are you suggesting the trumpers are far more hesitant to get the vaccine because they're afraid they're guinea pigs like the poor blacks were in the Tuskegee study? Because that's not a very convincing road for you to go down..
Actually, yes. This vax has not gone through nearly enough trials and testing for people to feel comfortable. So we are essentially guinea pigs.

Are you of the opinion that if Trump would come out and endorse the jab or even go as far as taking the jab on live television that it would swing the pendulum the opposite direction?

It is a very real concern, and rightfully so. Only now, instead of using poor blacks in the south as lab rats, they've rolled this out to the general population. No different than the drug war... first they flooded the black community with drugs and broke up the nuclear family, then they did the same to the larger society once they perfected their craft.

Some of you white folks need to wake up...

There would be lines around the country if the tv guy came out and told his followers to get vaxed

Well of course most white people wouldn't know anything about it. But trust me, this is pretty much common knowledge in the black community.

Not rightfully so. Choosing ignorance is not the right choice.

Again, I'm no fan of government, but using what happened with Tuskegee as you rationale for your decision on this choice, is dumb.

Not buying it . I’ve lived in and around black communities , white communities and mixed communities ... never have I once heard the “Tuskegee Study “ brought up by a single person in any conversation at any point .

How exactly would that subject come up in casual conversation?
