Potentially a death sentence’: White House goes off on vaccine fear mongers

The Biden administration is casting conservative opponents of its Covid-19 vaccine campaign as dangerous and extreme, adopting a more aggressive political posture in an attempt to maneuver through the public health conundrum.

‘Potentially a death sentence’: White House goes off on vaccine fear mongers

wonder if they apply this same logic to the defund the police crowd - I'd say the line to death is more direct through downsizing the cops than some vaccine resistance.

Have you not heard about all the young, healthy children catching COVID outdoors and dying?

As a people watcher I must say that it is indeed interesting to go into a store now ( here in Norfolk ) and see all the adults not wearing masks but the kids will be . It’s a fascinating concept for a virus that directly affects the elderly and unhealthy with underlying health issues but not the kids .

This will give a little insight why….

Thanks to the rise of the delta variant, preventing younger children from spreading coronavirus is vital as they return to school, experts say.

While children remain at lower risk of becoming hospitalized from COVID-19, they are at higher risk of spreading the more contagious delta variant. That’s because the variant is most likely to spread among unvaccinated individuals, said state epidemiologist Dr. Zack Moore.

Wearing masks when in groups of people remains the best step to preventing that, said Dr. Danny Benjamin, a Duke University pediatrics professor and co-investigator of the ABC Science Collaborative.

Who are the kids going to give it to? The vaccinated teachers?

The bolded statement has been shown in many studies for over a year to be untrue. Children, masked or unmasked, are unlikely to spread Covid. In transmission studies in households and schools, children get Covid from adults, but rarely then transmit Covid to another individual.

So, while it’s true in adults that unvaccinated people remain more at risk, this has been proven untrue among children.

Masks on children is a form of child abuse.

I can't even. . .

If the at-risk population is protected by either vaccination or naturally-acquired immunity, why are we worried about kids "spreading" the virus? Actually, the quicker they do (and become immune), the better. In addition, masking kids has not had any impact, when you compare schools and areas with different policies.

Knox County Schools had strict mask policies for kids and faculty, and still had massive outbreaks (they didn’t tell the local news media how bad it really got with absences). Despite this, it still spread like wildfire. The masks do little to nothing.

There was a kid in our neighborhood who got it along with several other kids in his class. It came from their teacher. They had the gall to try to blame the 5-6 year old kids for not wearing their masks properly. Keep in mind the mask is supposed to stop the sick from peeing on your leg. So if the masks are infallible and the teacher was so vigilant how did the kids get sick?
