Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It’s like that all over the Southeast. These liberal family of idiots move or vacation to states that are better and more happy because their own states are nothing but crime, taxes, pollution and leftist policies.

So you're saying people aren't living the happy life under Democratic control? Makes sense.

She’s saying being vaccinated makes you less likely to spread the virus, but that’s not what Fauci and the CDC just recently admitted
You are right vaccinated people can spread the virus if they get a breakthrough infection, but the odds of them getting sick in the first place are far lower than those who are unvaccinated

Maybe you don't get them? "Off the wall" might be a more accurate description of them. I think if you ponder some of them, you might see some sense in them. Yeah, I know, the time spent on that is time lost
No, they're actually that stupid. I understand viruses and epidemiology quite well, and there's not one iota of similarity with seat belts, warm coats, or pants and pee.

I doubt you understand them any better than my cardiologist. He's also a friend. I believe from reading your posts, he might disagree with your opinion on SOME details of this virus. I do respect and value your opinion. Not as much though, as his opinion

So? Even if that's true, who are you or anyone else to say someone should get vaccinated? I choose to wear a seatbelt when I drive, other people choose to wear shorts and a tee shirt when they ride a motorcycle. Personal choice is personal choice, learn to live with other people's choices.

The things that really piss me off? Selective science. Which is why a whole hoop of us are skeptical of the whole virus in the first place.

I'm skeptical of selective science like when you completely ignore something like Lollapalooza in Chicago and the Obama "invitational" birthday party and go straight to condemning the Sturgis Rally in a conservative state...

Fauci tells Sturgis Motorcycle Rally attendees health crisis 'supersedes' need to do 'what you want to'

White House medical advisor and epidemiologist Dr. Anthony Fauci shared his concerns about South Dakota's upcoming Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on Sunday's "Meet the Press," subtly rebuking attendees as host Chuck Todd appeared to suggest it could be another coronavirus "super spreader" event.

"I'm very concerned, Chuck, that we're going to see another surge related to that rally," Fauci said.

While Fauci said it was "understandable" that people "want to do the kind of things they want to do," he suggested that rally goers think of the greater good that could come from staying home.

"There comes a time when you're dealing with a public health crisis, that could involve you, your family, and everyone else that something supersedes that need to do exactly what you want to do," Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, urged.

First off, that little troll needs to be reminded of the words in our Declaration of "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" which says nothing about "You get to do things you want to do in the future." **** that guy.

I know the potty mouth filters are on, but it needs to be said. **** that guy.

So, "science" is taking a back seat to politics unless he wants to put Mayor "I'll only talk to black reporters" Lightfoot on blast as well over Lollapalooza. But of course, attendees in Chicago were "asked" to provide proof of vaccination:

COVID: Chicago's Lollapalooza could be a super spreader, experts warn

As a reminder, the CDC already said the vaccine doesn't work that well against the Delta variant. Yet, they were quite mum on the whole idea of packing 400,000 people into a tight area. Far more than Sturgis in one place.

And as if someone can't send a pic of a vax card on their cell phone to their friends and make everything hunky-dory.

This isn't about the science or the disease. It's about control. "You'll get to do things you like eventually." Words I'm sure every authoritarian, totalitarian and dictator in history said after assuming control.

Phil Valentine is now on ecmo. It’s not looking good for him to survive this.
He’s fortunate to be put on ecmo given his age. Seeing on Twitter a lot of intensivist talking about not being able to get their 20-40 yr old patients to an ecmo center due to shortages in states like arkansas. Prayers sent.

All good, my friend. There's no competition here. My experience is first-hand, diagnosing and treating several hundred kids c CV19 in my office, and I've spent 20+ years learning about, treating, and vaccinating against infectious diseases. I am here to offer my unique perspective to the discussion.

If your friend is an adult cardiologist, he probably sees an entirely-different subset of patients (and probably no "active" cases in his office). I'm sure he's seen some terrible outcomes in the hospital, and that will weigh heavily in his thoughts.

As I've said before, I firmly believe that the most important principal for us should be to remain open minded, creative, and cooperative in order to figure a way out of this pandemic. Continuing to do things one way, just because someone guessed it was the right way, not continually searching for better treatments, not considering alternative vaccine technologies, resorting to costly knee-jerk shutdowns and mandates without firm evidence that they are worth the price. . . . All mistakes.

Hey remember when the First Lady tried to make school lunches healthier? What was the reaction from the right on that?
I know my kids were coming home starving because lunch was gross. So I went to eat at their school, guess what, under the healthy food plan and the limitations that were put in school lunches they created unpalatable food for kids. It was just garbage. Mac n cheese that tasted like cardboard, food with zero flavor. Such a great plan, executed and many kids at the school wouldn’t eat it. I started sending their lunches. Thanks Michelle.
First Ladies and their pet projects.... have all worked out fabulously. (sarcasm)
