Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

They don’t define it on the lab tests I read. It’s just says covid. We release them from isolation after 21 days anyway. They have stopped testing our inpatient population after the first positive. Last year we tested them if they burped.
So the bottom line is we can't believe an F'n thing the .gov says because they can just be making up ish as they go along about the variants.

At this point I’m really wondering if you’re just trolling or are you just that much of a statist bastard.

Some trolling because you guys are so easily triggered.

Here’s where I stand:
I am pro vax. The reason are as follows:
- millions of doses have been administered with very few safety issues. No we don’t know if the safety profile will be the same 10 years from now. But I’m having a hard time finding cases of vaccines that proved to have serious safety concerns years after first introduced. There may be examples but it’s very rare.
- If you have had COVID then this is a pointless conversation because all the evidence points to Covid survivors having better immunity than vaccinated people who have not had COVID.
- However, if you have not had Covid then I believe you should be vaccinated because we do not live in a bubble or on an island. In a pandemic, individual decisions have impact on the community at large. ICUs in SOME areas are filling up with unvaccinated people causing others with unpreventable illnesses to go untreated or have delayed treatment.
- ALSO, the longer people delay getting vaxxed, the longer the virus has to mutate once again as we’re seeing with Delta. The next mutation could be even more deadly.

You’re not going to get much traction with the “you mad bro” tack here.

Your stances are fine for yourself and not unreasonable when you levy them on yourself or your family. But that’s it. What others choose to do is their own business.

And as far as mutations NOTHING we do in North America is going to impact that because this is a world wide event and thus the lack of vaccines in third world **** holes are going to drive it. Delta is from India. Lamda from Latin America.

So people need to manage their own health situations and understand that no authoritarian measures here are going to make a damn bit of difference. Look at Australia.

I do. But it’s pretty obvious the vax works for the most part, so why the hand wringing over the temp it’s stored at?
So are you aware of the crazy cold temperatures required for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for long term storage and shipment? That is a limiter on how long they can be stored at dispensaries as most are not equipped for that level of cold storage. This information has been out since day 1 on the vaccines. Once they get moved to a warmer storage temp they are short term and must be consumed within so many days then they are disposed of.

I’ve seen so many inconsistencies with this virus and what I’ve seen in practice that the cdc & nih have lost credibility for me with their actions and their dishonesty. Honestly there are allot that hang on their every word. More power to them.
I am always curious and always questioning inconsistencies.

So?

If more people were vaccinated, the Delta variant, regardless of where it came from, would do far less damage within our own borders. But you don’t seem to get this.

What you don’t seem to get it what people choose to do with managing their own health is none of your damn business.

Manage your own situation and butt out of others. But you don’t seem to get this.

Truly it’s not handwringing. I’m curious about a therapy that is so unstable it has to be kept at -15 but then we are going to plus 100* by injecting it into a human and expect it not to immediately break down.

Not quite that bad on the extremes. I think the upper limit for long term storage is -15C while 98.6F is only 37C. I put a link above that talks about the 30 day storage temp it’s quite a bit warmer than -15C I think.

I’ll have to look it up. Never considered getting it, was just curious about the temp difference and stability.

I reread the link. Short term storage is 2 to 8C.

Additionally think about the other angle of shooting a -15C liquid into the human body. I’d guess it’s no bueno. I’m gonna speculate that vials being administered are probably warmed up quite a bit above that 8C short term storage point even.

Iirc he said the state asks for certain samples and reviews them.
Correct. We can't actually order genotyping, and there's nowhere local to have it done. The state reference sequencing lab does it for surveillance. They do similar testing during flu season so we know exactly what is circulating.
