This will be us in America if we ever let them convince us that we don't need our guns
Who enforces this? Who is asked to come check on a person's location?

If you "back the blue" folks had an understanding that the only way this gets traction is if your cops enforce this, then you will be ahead of the game.

I have no doubt in my mind that the crooked azz cops we have here in the US would gleefully enforce something like this.

I have, growing up on a farm we saw our vet more than our Dr.
I worked for a pharmaceutical manufacturer years ago before going back into construction. Animal meds are manufactured at a waaaaaaayyyyy different standard than drugs that go to pharmacy (humans) no stability study… cheaper binding agents….below Pharm grade fillers.

Like I said….taking horse deworming meds you bought at the Co/Op is ****ing stupid. Take the time to see a Dr and get a script written.

And I repeat…..near 100% of the negative reactions to ivermectin have NOT come from pharmacies.
I would be curious to know just how many there are. We know that the media can make mountains out of ant hills. I know I know... even one is too many. Yeah yeah, I get it. But they don't need to engage in panic and propaganda.

Oh, and anecdotal case I know about with regards to getting a script written. I found out a few days ago a guy that ran in the same circles as some of my co-workers did get a prescription for Ivermectin (the "safer" human version) to be used as a prophylaxis. Well, getting a prescription right now is hard enough, because some doctors won't do it. But he was able to get one written. But getting it filled at a pharmacy was a totally different animal (no pun intended). From what I understand, he went to several pharmacies between Parsons and Jackson to try and get it filled. Finally, he was able to find a pharmacist in your neck of the woods to get it filled. Problem is they were going to charge him about $800 for the prescription. Now keep in mind, these are usually less than a dollar or two per pill.

And that is where the story begins...

Ah, hypercapitalism. Gotta love it.

I think it all starts with we have to get involved locally and we need to all start paying attention to who our leaders are on a local level. What is my local sherrifs stance and beliefs? Does he firmly believe in the 2nd Amendment? If he doesn't then he needs to go now.

If they don’t get the police to do it, I can see them creating enforcement groups and giving them a broad range of powers.

Then you should know you can’t ****ing buy prescription veterinary medication without a prescription from a vet. So who are all these vets writing fraudulent prescriptions? Or are you buying into another BS MSM story?

I’m pretty sure they weren’t social distancing in Neyland

Such an interesting sight. This time last year Plowman had all kinds of restrictions on campus and was on the rampage anytime word of some party on campus happened. Now, similar or worse covid conditions and things are back to normal.

Amazing what happens during an election year.

It was definitely "back to normal." I saw maybe 4 older people in my section with N95s. Otherwise, looked like 2019 + LED lights+ better 3rd down music.

now you’re just trolling.
If a vet writes a prescription it comes from a pharmacy and has been through stability studies and the same standard as any other drug that goes through a pharmacy. If you’re buying it otc from the Co/Op or tractor supply the you deserve what you get.
This is an odd hill for you to make your stand

so we’re back to anyone who takes meds from the Co/Op that we’re designed for animals is a ****ing moron. I’m beginning to believe that’s you

Yup. That’s an actual problem that I’ve heard more than once that really needs to stop. If a dr writes it the pharmacist should have no problem filling it as long as it does contraindicate with some other med the patient is taking.

If you're buying ivermectin OTC at your local Co-Op you are buying the paste so I would agree taking that is absolutely stupid. But we're nutcutting here, you want to use the term "horse dewormer" as a generic term for a safe drug taken by millions of people every year. I'm pointing out that it is the same drug just in different forms.

And to get the pill form you need a prescription whether it be for your animals or yourself.

Cool. We agree.
I eliminated the rest of your post as it’s not related to any argument I’m making. If it appears otherwise I apologize. I’ve tried to differentiate by using the term “horse deworming med” for the horse deworming med and ivermectin for the prescription.
