I did, and he was going to do some digging. He and his family actually own a local funeral home.

I’ve got a question for any doctors here…

My brother and his wife were super worried during the pandemic and took precautions to a new level. Isolation, never leaving the house, masking anywhere and everywhere. They had a baby in June 2020, and given what we knew at the time I can kind of understand, but even now they are still overly cautious. Now with their kid in daycare they are constantly sick. Norovirus, RSV, Covid, flu - you name they have both had it this year.

Well they were finally feeling better and wanted to get out. Myself and my 15 year old decided to go over and look after the baby a couple weeks ago and now we have got this nasty nasty cold. I’ve had a 102 fever for 2 days now and I’m literally in real pain all over and my throat is on fire. I’m falling behind at work and my kid is missing school.

I guess I’m finding myself pissed off that I’m dealing with this from what I see as their overreaction and buying into drama and craziness. Their immune systems were shot and now they are catching and spreading everything.

Am I wrong to see this as their fault? I’ve never been sick like this and now I go over to their house once and I can’t get out of bed.

There are a bunch of people in high places that need to be held responsible for a number of unnecessary and harmful recommendations, mandates, withholding of treatment options, and false "information." I don't really put too much blame on people who simply reacted in an expected way, if what was being fed to them by the MSM and government was actually true.

You see the same phenomenon with the simple-minded Branch Covidians that circle back through this thread every so often to wish death on the anti-vaxers and spout the same old nonsense, even though almost everything they claimed has now been disproven. Actual data and known science does not align with the narrative nor the recommendations that have been assuredly pushed by those with (extensive) financial interest. However, they are too invested (and proud) to step back, realize their folly, and admit how wrong they were and how much harm they have caused.

For what it’s worth, where I am there have been a string of nasty ailments running through day cares for most of this year.

I rarely get sick, even when the household comes down with something. But i feel like ive spent 50% of the past 3-4 months sick. Had something that lasted for almost a solid month.

What I’m saying is it’s very likely just due to what goes around in day cares.

Before I had children of my own, my only illnesses usually came after being around my brother’s children.

that's really the bottom line - if the WaPo really thinks "democracy dies in darkness" then they would be more open about their biases and the role government plays in shaping their stories. They intentionally introduce darkness to push their version of things.

if the media was straight about themselves then we all could evaluate information and reach conclusions

The damage done to the children with forcing them to wear masks and closing schools for more than a week or two has been devastating on them.

Are you being serious?? Are people seriously going to comply? I promise, I will never wear another mask again (unless I'm working on a dusty project). If it means I never fly again, so be it. I will never wear a mask ever again.

Yes was on the news today & even then idiots have been wearing them for 2 years now I will never wear one again , if forced it will be on my chin

Like it's always been: I wear a surgical mask when I'm performing surgical procedures that risk me getting fluids on my face.
