I called this two years ago (in this thread) as my wife is a teacher and I'm telling you now, it's going to get worse. As 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders move up, the gap between what they actually know and what they should know will only widen unless sweeping changes are made across the board. And why I agree to some extent that the education system could be better, the most significant issue is the lack of parental responsibility, especially in the lower grades.

Agree whole heartedly, we saw what was happening, worked extra with our daughter and then got her into private school. She is the youngest in her class, she had to test in, and is among the most proficient in her class. Parents are equally to blame in the situation our children are on now.

We still have constant maskers even though it’s affecting their health. They continue to be constantly catching something. I don’t know how to make it any clearer to them masking doesn’t work against viruses. It’s a splatter guard.

I have an elderly female neighbor that is great shape at around 80 and walks her dog 3 or 4 miles a day. She has a hen party about every week or 2 and one of the women can't park closer than 5 feet from the curb and she always wears a mask.
God bless her, she was probably a great mom.

I was walking through the hospital Thursday. In an area that isn’t for patient care. Just offices and call sleep rooms (different story, but that seems like an oxymoron to me). Saw a hospitalist in his office by himself typing away at his computer. With an ear loop surgical mask on. I lost a lot of hope in that moment.

After sharing and watching that Harrelson mono several times, I think it might actually be one of the most important moments in the media's coverage of the pandemic. One that everyone should watch, reflect on, and learn from.

You've heard the saying: "It might just be crazy enough to work," right? Stepping back and really looking at how this whole thing played out. . . . It's unbelievable. Like watching a crappy apocalyptic movie with a ridiculous plot line that could never happen.

I've seen tuba players in plastic bubbles, chains and locks on outdoor tennis courts, a fight over a bandana in a liquor store, people arrested for going to work, people being paid to sit at home, drink, and take opiates, and parents injecting their young children with an experimental drug that actually causes their bodies to produce an inflammatory protein with unknown long term effects (and known short term risks) to protect them from an illness that is not dangerous to them and they will catch anyway.

Watch, watch again, learn, and never let this happen again.

Thats all utterly speculation and crappy logic. Really awful reasoning.

But typical of Trumpster/conspiracy nuts eager to blame someone they can then connect to Biden so as to in effect attack him.

Honestly, our elementary and secondary schools need to start giving students a MUCH better education in critical thinking skills. Else we are doomed to the reasoning skills (or lack thereof) in your post.

Interested to see @lawgator1 's response. Will he admit he was entirely wrong? Everyone with one or more brain cells knew in the back of their minds this was a gain of function virus, created in the Wuhan lab. The reason it was downplayed and dismissed was because Fauci and his minions funded it. Fauci should be brought up on charges.
