Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, evidently, as I stated that I could speak only for what I was seeing and acknowledged you may see something else. Currently, when I do see a mask, it is an N95. I cannot recall the last time I saw a simple cloth mask.

You may have seen one recently and I cannot explain that. You may be right and it may be that the person is poorly educated, is trying to protect against Covid and does not realize there are much more effective ways to do so. There may be some other reason. We'd both just be speculating.

My whole point was simply that you cannot assume that people you see with masks now are simply continuing to battle Covid, and just Covid, in that way. There may be more to it.

Explain individual masking, alone in their car.

These people we see masked (the majority of them) are not immunocompromised. They are signaling.

They are actually spreading misinformation - you guys usually want to shut that down.

So you are speculating as to the motive of unknown people in random cars wearing masks as virtue signalling, and on top of that you are imagining a "you guys" entity, whereupon you speculate that "you guys" are encouraging people to wear masks to virtue signal.

I read clearly every word you said. That is why I clearly came back by saying just because you don't see it, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

But in reality, I just think you are gaslighting in order to try to win an argument. There's no way you don't see just N95 masks and not the other makeshift masks. Just no way.

I want you to think about your own words the next time you decide to ascribe the motive of RACISM to a complete stranger.

I remember you doing this regularly during Obama’s tenure. It ate you up so much when someone wouldn’t agree with BO that is it must be RACISM.

I don't think they are signaling. I think the media did such a good job of scaring the hell out of unsophisticated - ignorant - people that they still believe they are in mortal danger.

Just shopped alongside an old lady in the produce section at Fresh Market who kept adjusting her homemade cloth face diaper. It actually grosses me out, now. Just like a kid picking his nose or someone licking their fingers while touching the food I might buy.

I don't understand masks anymore. That said, I give the benefit of the doubt when I still see people wearing them. I'm assuming they have some existing condition or they are immunocompromised. If somebody is otherwise healthy and wearing a mask due to fear of covid I consider them morons at this point.

My experience the past few years certainly says "yes." It isn't a normal/comfortable sensation to have a moist occlusive cloth over your breathing holes, for most people. I try my best not to touch my face or mouth in public. People are nasty.

They don’t owe anyone an explanation as to why they wear one.

The same should have been afforded to others.

I'm good with that reasoning as long as the pro-mask share the same reasoning when the next plandemic comes along. You will have to put a bullet in my head before I ever wear a mask again

Hey genius... this was talked about in 2020.which made mask wearing even more ridiculous. How many pet dogs, cats, livestock, birds, etc were spreading C-19 while humans were masking up and social distancing? From the very link you posted...

A previous report from scientists in Canada found "a highly divergent lineage of SARS-CoV-2" that spread from deer to humans.
