Lauren Cox sets official visits

I just peeked @ L Cox's twitter page & her dad's page, easy to find with a simple google search. They had huge smiles and seemed to be enjoying their "Neyland" visit. Hope the bball visit went as well. :)

I also took a peek at both her and her dad's page and based on the pictures (and I know they say a picture is worth a thousand words) but I must say they seemed to have more pics of their time in Knoxville than in South Bend and if Dad has heavy input, Knoxville might have taken the league based on some of the praise he has given to our tradition and storied program! I truly hope we can somehow land both Cox and McCoy! That would be the greatest christmas gift (If both verbal in November) that a Lady Vols fan could ask for (besides a National title)!

Dad wants good basketball school, and Mom wants academics. Usually momma wins these battles.

Unlikely both go to same school. McCoy is waiting until April.

I totally agree! Kalani Brown's dad wanted Tennessee and mom wanted Baylor. Didn't Elizabeth Williams mom wanted Duke? Kaela Davis mom wanted GT for her to be the star. I'm sure there are many more recruits we missed out on because the mom wanted elsewhere. A happy wife makes a happy home. Usually the moms get what they want.

Ok so do we have an idea of what career path/major Cox is looking into? and which player do you think is best for our system! I like Cox ability to stretch the floor! If we are unlikely to get both which one do you think we should really hope for and who is the 2nd player you think gets a scholarship (as Holly has stated she is only looking to bring in 2 players with this class) and who backs up Mercedes if it is in deed Cox and not McCoy (who is more of a 4/5 compared to Cox being more of a 3/4)! Also will Cox be shortening her list to like a top 3 like Holmes did? Did we get an official visit from Holmes of have we backed off because its a pretty much a guarantee that she will go to Texas? I know this is a lot but you have been one of the most (if not the most) consistent person with information about our Lady Vols and I appreciate the insight!

Either would fit, but McCoy is more likely than Cox, and the staff knows it. Holly would take three, but it would have to be the right three.

Doubt Cox shortens her list any further. She will take all of her visits.

Holmes visited, and there has been rumor she is cancelling her ND visit, which only shows that she is going to Texas. Staff knew this before her visit, but if a player of her calibur wants to visit, you do it and try to change her mind.

I think you are getting your players mixed up! Cox is a true 5, has NO perimeter skills whatsoever. McCoy and Holmes are the ones who also have 4 skills. They would both fit in with TN when we are really pressing and getting up on the guards, Cox would be the player in the paint waiting to swat around the basket.

Just because those are the only ones scheduled now doesn't mean those are the only options.

I would not give up on Lauren Cox or Joyner Holmes just yet, they have not made there final choice. We are talking about 16 and 17 year old young lades.

Still a chance for Cox, but Holmes is going to Texas. It just a matter of when she announces. Her visit to ND has basically been cancelled because they know she isn't going there.
