Nutro is what we feed our dogs. 50 bucks a bag but eat less and use the bathroom less.

Coats are clean and shiny.

My neighbor asked about having her lawn mowed. I get mine cut weekly for $50. She thought that was outrageous! Claimed that I'm getting ripped off because it only takes them 15-20 minutes.

He runs a 4 man crew, 2 deck mowers, a trimmer, and a blower.

I said, "I don't give a crap how long it takes them, all I care about is how long it takes me."

She currently has a weed farm for a yard.

Exactly.

She thinks because its so quick that the price is high. Not realizing that the guy has probably 50k tied up to do a 50 dollar lawn

14k is a middle of the line commercial mower

Mine were 22k each. Had 4 of them mowing 100+ acres a day

:eek:hmy:

That's some serious investment. You really have to be dedicated to make money doing that. The winter time must be killer.

I look forward to Winter time, you just have to be ready in with the 22K mowers you have to show/pay some serious taxes to write them off. Mowers usually pay 50% of what they take in as taxes some may be more. You have to have $$ saved up for each summer months you take in for winter mos.
You got to have already paid in 8 to $15K in taxes before you even file depending on size.. I would say Obsessed paid even more running 4 mowers that big.

I had all my customers agree to 12 monthly payments. Same price as a normal season (9) Winter months while in the deer stand or at the Neyland I was still drawing a check. Minimum labor and fuel costs during this time. It's actually when I made most my money.

My mowers were John Deere 1445's 4x4 72" decks. 30 horsepower diesels

This times 4

Guys how about weed eaters blowers chain saws which do you like the best?
I have to say I have found Stihl to be far most the best.. I have 3 90R weed eaters
2 hand held blowers one back pack blower which I don't even use anymore.
Such a hassel getting it on when the hand held is so easy to use.
And my 14' tilt trailer is the best ever. So easy to load unload. I love not messing with ramps

Echo PAS280.

Lots of handy attachments abd enough power to use them.

Anyone used this..I'm thinking of adding it to my Stihl weeedeater and then stop using the walk behind edger..

Edgit PRO

Looks kind of neat, and might especially come in handy if you had a big crew with quite a bit of turnover and wanted to be able to keep a consistent level of quality no matter how much experience a given employee might have. For me personally though, I've been doing this long enough that I can easily cut a straight edge with just the string, and something like that would just be a bunch of extra weight on the end of the weed eater (much like the guard that I ditched long ago) to hurt my back carrying around all the time.

Bump for summertime. Shout out to bleedorange0037. He's doing my yard again this year and his prices are the best I've seen and he does great work.

Anyone needing yard work in the Knox area should give him a shout. He's a frequent poster here.

bleedorange0037 still around?

Anyone else in Knox that mows? Looking for a new mower. Near Ebenezer/Kingston Pike. Not a big yard.

I've got some landscaping work I'd love to get estimated as well. Bush and shrub bed in front of the house I'd like removed and replaced with grass.

Thanks.

Still around. I appreciate you thinking of me, but I'm already stretched just about beyond my limits for this year. Sorry I probably won't be able to help you out, but good luck finding someone to mow it for you.
