I would propose that if Jerry Green didn't have the general attitude he had, he would not have been fired. I don't believe he was fired because of wins and losses or underachieving with his talent. Acting like he was doing the state a favor by being at UT followed by other missteps helped hasten his departure. Let's not forget the lack of disciple his teams had. I only mention this because I don't think it's necc fair to say Green proves that winning doesn't cure all. The Tony Harris/UK incident is prime example of why the Green era ended, wasn't just a of a fanbase with unfair expectations. Not saying anyone has said that, just wanted to chip in

one of my friends who played under Green at UT, told me the man was missing more than a few marbles upstairs.
Posted via VolNation MobileHaha, was obvious to the world. Had some great times in those years, that overtime(or double ot) game in Gainesville was awesome, sweeping UK, killing UConn, etc. Fav players in Green era were CJ Black and Isaiah Victor. Lived on campus during that time, was at nearly every home game then and still wonder what a better coach could have done with the talent that fell in Jed's lap. Losing to Bill Guthridge that year is still painful. Bill Self was taking Tulsa to Elite 8 when he could have been taking UT to Final 4.
