Lots of potential in Golden and McCrae.

"As the AAU season comes to an end, we will highlight some of the top programs in the state. Atlanta Celtics 17U- Probably the best trio in the nation with Ryan Harrow, Trae Golden, and Jordan McCrae. On any given Sunday, each of these guys could post 30+ on the board. ....Golden is a very strong shooting guard that is money from downtown. McCrae is a long lanky small forward that is at best during run 'n gun play and slashing to the basket. "

"The Celtics didn’t have their best performance against the Southeast Elite on the big stage, losing by 9. Trae Golden was the bright spot, making tough shots and big time moves to keep the Celtics in the game. Also, Jordan McCrae was showing off his athleticism making plays and shooting the ball with confidence. "

"A late game I was watching and all of a sudden this kid stood out with sensational athletic ability and really good hops. It was Atlanta Celtics 16s standout Jordan McCrae, who had 54 points in two games. "

There's HOPE?

Did all of those sources really misspell Jordan's name? Or are you making all this up?

You've got me.
Maybe they need the spelling police.
Or maybe he changed his name like Ocho after he signed with TN.
They were consistent anyway.

Ryan Harrow (Marietta, Ga./Walton), Jordan McCrae (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County) and Trae Golden (Powder Springs, Ga./McEachern) have led their Atlanta Celtics squad to two final fours of tournaments with national fields – April’s Real Deal in the Rock and May’s Tournament of Champions. Harrow is committed to North Carolina State, McCrae to Tennessee and Golden is open after being a one-time early Ohio State verbal.

They couldn't spell but they could recognize talent.

" I went yesterday as well and the most impressive player I saw all day was Jordan McCrae from Georgia. He put up 40 points for the Atlanta Celtics. He was just unstoppable in every facet of the game.

And he's a UT commit. "

With a new system and hopefully, an offense that will allow for good shots, we have potential to be quite good next year. No one seemed to know their role on last years team except Hopson and Harris.

Anyone think we can beat Florida next season? I don't really know what their team is looking like.

No, I doubt we beat anyone ranked. Jmo though. I think this is a major rebuild job. Similar to what Dooley inherited with the foosball team.

It's not even close to what Dooley inherited with the football team. It is not a major rebuild job if Martin can get our players playing with confidence and close to their ability level.

As long as the offense has a lot of pick and roll, back cuts, and cuts toward the rim, we should do ok. This team is still made primarily of Brick Masons and even with open looks, I don't see anyone I am confident in hitting the open mid-range or perimeter jumpers. Richardson is probably stepping in as the best shooter on the team, and that just won't get it done. Hopson would've been a great asset with open mid-range shots as part of our offense...
