Coker didn't produce anything last year? Wow... I don't even know how to respond to that. Actually, yes, I do. Let's see... 696 rushing yards, 6.4 avg, 5 TDs, 168 receiving yards, TD. I say again, he was a redshirt freshman.
Arian Foster produced more than 800 rushing yards during his freshman campaign, and was never completely healthy last season. Hardesty is a freak athlete, and has shown glimpses of what he can be.
Creer will get his chance, but there's no way he breaks that rotation during his true freshman year.
Really, while trying to play a season less than a year removed from major reconstructive knee surgery you are convinced that Hardesty is not destined for playing RB? Excellent evaluation.....
you are seriously underestimating the impact of a knee injury.
Listen, I sincerely hope that you are right. I know that he was a stud in high school, he seems like a great kid, and I would love for him to shine at UT. I don't have an anti-hardesty agenda, I just don't think he was all that great last year. If it was the knee injury, and he's better next year, then I will gladly admit that I was wrong.
im not saying hes going to be great either but it is very hard to go out and play good while trying to protect your knee.Listen, I sincerely hope that you are right. it doesn't have to be one single back that can do this...we are already deep at RB with our curren trio....it will take him some time to get in the rotation, but i think he'll be just fine as he gets older and some experience.he did, but UT needa a guy who can pick up tough yards maybe 3 or 4 yards per carry so that we can be deadly running or throwing the ball, and u cant honestly sit here and tell me that Coker produced that last year
yep. depth is key in this day and age.Among them were LaMarcus Coker and Arian Foster.
i think the D had more to do with it than anything. thruout the season, their D was the main factor in most all their games, against quality opponents. To say Percy Harvin is the reason the Gators won the national championship is probably the most inaccurate message that has ever been conveyed regarding college football.
It would seem like a knee injury would keep you from wanting to bounce around...and instead just run forward to avoid strain on the knee ligaments...but he did just the opposite...
Was it not that kind of knee injury or am I missing something? Bouncing around behind the line until he was tackeled seemed to be his biggest problem all year. It was almost like he thought every run had to be like his great Cal run...like he thought all he had to do would bounce it around and find that hole every time
