Leonard Little, Jamal Lewis, Joey Kent, and Johnny Majors at practice #1

Ignore the trolls. All ex-players are welcome to come back HOME and CBJ deserves a ton of credit for yet another brilliant move. WOW - - - 50 ex-VOL PLAYERS RESPONDED...He keeps making all the right moves. He is gonna be a great coach.

Spent 5 years on the Nike tour and placed in 3 PGA events.

What's the bet?
You said that you didn't lie about what you think. You apparently lie about your golf game. On Jan.28 you said on the golf thread that you got down to an 8.5 handicap, lowest ever. On Feb.8 , you shot a 93 on the same course that you shot 79 on Wed. of that week. Let's cut to the chase. You are a freakin' troll , just like me.

By the way, I noticed that you went to the practice rounds at Augusta. My brother and I went every year back in the late 70's through the 80's. I only got to go to the actual tournament for a Thurs. and Fri. one time. You made a comment about the hills. TV does not do the slopes and elevation changes justice.

I was able to go to a U.S. Open that Nicklaus won and a PGA at Firestone. I got to see the end of Hogan and Snead's careers in the mid 60's, but they both could still play well in their early 50's. I followed Palmer and Nicklaus the last 36 holes at Baltusrol in 1967 at The Open.

I saw Watson, Ballesteros, Floyd, Trevino, Player, Casper, Lema, Miller , Wadkins, Pate, all in their primes. Let's drop the racial crap, okay? I surrender.

Yes, I lied about my golf game to set you up for another afghani joke. There is a golf forum where its obvious I am average.
And I comment on what I read. Not going to change it. For the third time, I was done with the topic, and you had already responded. But when you respond multiple times to one post, and start getting stalky and racy, its time to back up a little.

I tried to end this with post #106, but you had to fan the flames on # 125. How could I sit on the sidelines when you basically called me ignorant? I comment on what I read also, just like you. Let's drop this crap, okay?

I am glad that in your mind it is okay to use the slur "cracka," as you did previously, and to "despise Afghanistan and the entire Middle East." Afghanistan isn't really Middle East geographically, but is connected to the M.E. through their religious and political ties. I guess that all those camel humpers look alike to you though, and that makes for a close connection.

I take it that you have no Afghani neighbors. Perhaps, you might be more culturally sensitive if you did.

Let's keep the thread real, or at least funny, and cut the bashing guys! Stay classy!:hi:
I am trying my best, but I was told that I didn't "know jack**** about right or wrong" after bringing up JL's conviction for distribution of 5 kilos of cocaine on post #96. I know enough to call that wrong. I was also called a "closet racist" , partly because I said that my next door neighbor is black on the same post.

I was called ignorant on post # 125 because I didn't agree that a coach had to be black to relate to black prospects. The black neighbor comment was again brought up as a cover for being a closet racist. On post #127, I was called the worst poster ever on Vol nation by some sour faced old man.

On post # 128, the black neighbor comment was once again brought up to justify using the "r" word on me.
On post #141, I was again called the "r" word.

One reason listed for calling me a racist has been that I brought up the fact that my next door neighbor of 20 years is black. The sole reason that I brought that up is that some poster on some thread said that I obviously didn't understand blacks and hadn't spent any time around them, due to some comment I made on the black coach thread. I usually don't mention my neighbors on an internet forum, but I simply responded to refute their claim that I had spent no time around black people. You wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

Another thing that made the guy call me a racist was when I said that the families of black recruits weren't smart enough to make a decision on their child's future institution of higher learning, IF (big if) they made their decision based solely on the race of their recruiter. I stand by that remark. If you wish, I will say that the families of white recruits aren't smart to make a decision on their child's future , IF they base it solely on the race of their recruiter. This was all stated in a black coach thread, as a response to people who thought that ONLY a black coach should be considered.

I had hoped that someone would argue my point and explain to me why a person would buy a product based on the color of the skin of the salesman. The product is the college program, and the salesman is the recruiter. Other than advice on buying Afro Sheen or sun block, I don't know why the color of the skin of the salesman makes any difference.

Sorry that this was so long, but I will not let someone label me a racist based upon a couple of comments that people can't refute. They want to kill the messenger, because they don't like what I say. Let them argue the facts for a change. Thank you.

butch should bring in some current UT nfl players---these young kids on the team have never heard of these old players.

Seriously?

I know of a lot of players that played long before I was born. Anyone with any kind of real passion for football does.

I would think the players on a college football team probably know more than just the players currently on an NFL roster.

I watched some videos of the players after the first practice, and they were very happy and impressed that Lewis, Little and Majors were there.

Yes, we had books and stories from our elders. I remember reading old media guides when I was kid.

It's different now. Everything is in the moment. I would doubt the current players know or give 2 craps about players from 20 or 30 years ago.
