Les Miles to Michigan? (Merged)

If Les Miles leaves LSU they're going to get a lot better, it's better for UT if he stays

I thought during the championship game they said he reportedly had met with and accepted the job.

exactly. there's no way he turns it down this time. If it's his dream job he cant turn it down twice.. he has to know that if he turns it down again now.. they will never come calling again.

He was supposedly never offered the job when DoubleR took it. Miles was the one calling Michigan, but never got a return call. Just used it as leverage for a better payday.

Looks like we will find out tomorrow who will be running the show in AA.

It said that he would take it if it was offered. Not that it has been offered and he took it. I don't think they will offer that idiot anyway.

that idiot has won a national champion ship and most his teams win 10 or more games a year.....he can chew all the grass he wants.....

Names I have seen mentioned at LSU on other websites are obviously Bo Pelini (not exactly a good marriage in Nebraska) Tommy Tuberville (what a joke) and Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn...Malzahn would be scary down there...

Buyout isn't the reason LSU won't be interested in Dooley.

You guys do realize that we were all saying the same thing about Lane Kiffin when the SC job opened up, right? Derek Dooley to LSU is about as far fetched as Lane Kiffin to USC was last year. NOTHING surprises me anymore with college athletics. As much as we do not want to realize it, Derek Dooley taking over at LSU if Miles does, in fact, leave is a real possibility. Who else would they go after? Remember, LSU would be in the same exact situation as Tennessee and USC was last year. Scrambling, trying to find a coach to hold the recruiting class together. Both having to "settle" on their third or fourth choice. Well.... Derek Dooley could be that choice.

You'd better hope it's not Les Miles. I'd hire Brady Hoke before I ever gave Miles a second thought.

With that said, I'm guessing Miles will be the guy at UM. If that happens, LSU needs to give Charlie Strong a call IMO.

With Charlie's ability to recruit FL and the kids in Louisiana that beat down LSU's door to go to school there that would be scary.....

Respectfully disagree. Others have said this. Derek Dooley doesn't have LSU stuff all around the UT facilities, nor does he talk about LSU like being the model for UT, which Kiffin did with USC. Furthermore, Dolley has been around more, no real roots at a job. Finally, Dooley isn't Kiffin, not even close. I don't think mane Vol fans thought Kiffin would turn down the USC job. I think the doubt UT fans had is that USC would hire Kiffin when he was so unproven.
