Anybody think Vasquez can take him? I thought Carwin showed Lesnar has some weaknesses.

Can only hope Vasquez beats Lesnar.

I had little respect for Lesnar prior to the Carwin fight. The way he acted... how everything was handed to him without many fights under his belt.

He acted a lot better after the Carwin fight so I don't dislike him as much as I did. I still hope he loses though. All of the WWF fanboys are annoying.

I do not believe Cain has a chance. Brock has him far outweighed and will not be controlled on the ground by anyone. Brock wins by TKO.

Handed to him?

All he did was beat up everyone they put in front of him.

Who was more deserving?

I agree. However, not sure he deserved Couture in his 4th ever MMA fight. He has proven to be the best heavyweight out there now though.

He was given a title shot with a 2-1 record. How is that deserving?

Shane Carwin was 11-0 before he got a title shot and Velasquez is 8-0.

You're crazy if you believe he deserved a title shot with that record let alone after three fights. When was the last time you saw someone get a title shot after three fights?

I'm not saying he isn't good. He is probably the best heavyweight there is right now. UFC didn't know that after three fights and a 2-1 record though. He was handed everything immediately because they gained a bunch of WWF fan boys.

Brock is earning it now, but he did nothing to earn a title shot. Nothing.

I can't stand Lesnar. Hope Vasquez will pull it out.

The UFC needed a guy that could sell PPV's as their champ. Who else was going to bring in a new audience? Mir? Minotauro? Gonzaga? Couture? These guys are great fighters, and very well known to the die hard MMA fan, but they weren't going to draw new fans in like Lesnar.

Granted, they took a gamble matching Lesnar with Couture. If Couture would have beaten Lesnar, the PPV buys in future cards Lesnar appears is not nearly as high as they are now. The gamble paid off.

Can Velasquez beat him? Yes. Will he? I don't know. This is probably Lesnar's biggest challenge so far though.

That would be nice if Lesnar got beat. It's hard to argue with the results.

This post is pretty much garbage. What did Dana do with James Toney? Dana, makes these guys that come over from other sports sink or swim by not giving them easy fights. Get a clue.

And that is a damn good chance. Cain is 8-0, 7 by way of knockout from strikes.

If I'm not mistaken, only 2 of those KO's occured on the feet. Cain is a ground-and-pound guy. Not sure he can get in the position to finish the fight that way.

However, Cain is also a pretty good kickboxer, so he may try to take out Brock's legs early. That would be the only way, that I can see, that would give Cain an opportunity to score a takedown on Brock. Even so, can he finish Brock? The much more heavy-handed Shane Carwin couldn't.

Clearly you were talking about your own post being garbage. If you think Lesnar deserved a title shot after a loss and a win over Heath Herring you really should get yourself a clue. Saying that Brock deserved a title shot because he would bring in more fans is just stupid. I agree that Brock brings in fans but he would have still brought in fans fighting other guys. If anything it is embarrassing having a champ with only 4 fights one of which is a loss.

Frank Mir should have fought Couture for the belt

He held a belt that he won from Nogueira. He fought Brock for unification.

Mir certainly looked more deserving in that fight, as he used his face to repeatedly pulverize Brock's hands.
