No way Velasquez is going to outwrestle Brock. He gives up 20 lbs+ and Brock is the better wrestler.
He's going to try to keep up on their feet and beat him with his cardio, according to his camp.
Brock is never going to let that happen. The deciding factor in this fight is going to be if Velasquez can sprawl and prevent a take-down by Brock.
I don't see it happening. Brock is bigger, stronger, and the better wrestler. He will take him down and pound him out.
If I'm not mistaken, only 2 of those KO's occured on the feet. Cain is a ground-and-pound guy. Not sure he can get in the position to finish the fight that way.
However, Cain is also a pretty good kickboxer, so he may try to take out Brock's legs early. That would be the only way, that I can see, that would give Cain an opportunity to score a takedown on Brock. Even so, can he finish Brock? The much more heavy-handed Shane Carwin couldn't.
I do not believe Cain has a chance. Brock has him far outweighed and will not be controlled on the ground by anyone. Brock wins by TKO.
Lesnar deserved a shot, he was the NCAA Div 1 Wresting champion. That's why he's a great UFC fighter, he goes to his strength, his size and wrestling.
I don't think Vasquez has much of a chance. His camp talks about cardio, what good is cardio when a 270 lb man has you pinned to the ground and is pounding you into submission?
My friend wrestled Velasquez in college and scored a point against him. He can't shut his damn mouth about it, now. I'd be bragging too.
Nobody watching it tonight?
