Since that time one day two guys were circling like that scene in Tombstone, one had bloodied up the other in a surprise assault, the one who had been attacked held a loaded 9mm in his hand and had already fired a couple of rounds, albeit at the feet of the other to make him back off.

He was talking about killing the guy and the other was still mouthing off.

I approached closely and kept telling the guy with the gun that it wasn't worth 20 years in prison to kill the guy.

Finally the one who had started the whole thing had sense enough to get behind me and shut up.

The guy who owned the property, who had at one time owned and run a martial arts school, approached from behind, took in his hand the wrist holding the gun and removed the weapon from the equation, at that point I extracted myself from the immediate scene and let events unfold.

I just didn't want a bunch of children see somebody get killed for not much reason at all.

It was a damned picnic for gosh sakes.

Ninjas, Tombstone, a showdown involving gun play, endangered children, dudes coming up on other dudes "from behind" (paging Dr. Freud), a Gone With the Wind quote to close - and that you (YOU!) were the voice of reason who defused it all?!

And would it have been ok for the kids to see a man killed, had it been for a better reason? How very Taliban-esque of you, GS.

With that kind of build-up, this story needs a strong ending - might I suggest that you add making a quick exit via your nuclear-powered jetpack? This should help its inevitable re-telling later, likely, somewhere in the Dollywood break room.

We live in the South. We protect ourselves.

When you read about the 2nd amendment, what do you think the founders meant? They did not say "such as is necessary to hunt periodically" but rather to maintain a militia. That was to protect the people FROM the government, just as the 1st amendment was to protect the Church FROM the government and not vice versa.

1. the gate of heaven because no one can enter that blessed kingdom without passing through her

2. that the Way of Salvation is open to none other than through Mary, and that our salvation is in the hands of Mary, neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved .

Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

To my understanding, it is not necessary. A buddy's priest answered a similar question by saying that it was Mary that asked Jesus to perform his 1st miracle at the wedding supper. Thus, Mary is asked to petition on their behalf as well as directly asking yourself.

I think I posted that answer already I don't remember if it was in this thread though.
