Kinda short for a head coach, but I would take him. His work routine is similar to gruden.

Rex, I got a real wild card for you...reading the LATimes earlier today. They are saying if Kiffy loses to both Notre Dame and UCLA, he and the entire USC staff will be terminated. We can get the band back together!!!

Bring 'em back, baby! I'd be so happy I'd go on a two week drunk!

Jeremy Bates is interesting. His dad was a longtime coach in the NFL and I think he coached at UT back in the late 60's or early 70's. Plus, Jeremy went to UT before transferring to SMU or Rice.

Yes. He is from Sevier County, transferred to Rice from UT. Was OC at USC, Denver, and Seattle if memory serves as well as Rice I think

I think I'd be down for:

Josh McDaniels
Jim Leavitt
Jack Del Rio (highly unlikely)
Jeremy Bates
Troy Calhoun

revol, you have really disappointed me with your post. I never thought you were a fairweather fan. It is not in the best interest of UT to change coaches again, it will absolutely put the Football program behind another 3 years. The problem I see with posters like you and others, is that you are institutionalized. You have been doing this for so long (18,080 post), that your believe that you know what is really the best for UT Football, you've lost your objectivity........like the 5% that post.

dude, the fairweather fans stopped caring about UT long ago.

Kevin Wilson, has indiana heading in right direction with a 4-5 record in his second year and 3 of those four losses by a combined 8 losses. Nothwestern was the only double digit loss, and they only lost to Ohio State by 3 and Michigan State by four. With the way they have been getting better and better as the season has progressed I really would not be shocked to see them pull an upset of Wisconsin or Penn State to go along with a Purdue win to become bowl eligible. He is a brilliant offensive mind everywhere he has been including Oklahoma during Bradford's time, Northwestern, and Miami (OH). In fact he already has Indiana third in total offense in the big ten only trailing OSU and Nebraska despite being towards the bottom of the big ten. He also is a very good recruiter with three four stars currently committed and it is widely reported that they will have five by December.

Bronco Mendenhall - BYU HC

Don't think we go that route, but it wouldn't surprise me. Surely one of those west coast guys would come like Mendenhall, Whittingham, Calhoun, Ault, etc.

Urban Meyer.
99% of the candidates that have been named in any thread are wildcards IMO.
