Let's talk Yemen

Who is arming Hamas?
I have no idea. If you ask me who is arming Hezbollah and the Houthis and the Iraqi militias, I think it is obvious that the Iranians are helping them. But Hamas??? I genuinely think the Iranians and Hezbollah were caught off guard and unaware of Hamas' plans on Oct 7th. I would say that you may have 10-20% Iranian arms getting into the hands of Hamas... but I would not be surprised if Hamasgot the remainder of their weapons from US weapons shipments to ISIS and the Free Syrian Army and from the black market from Afghanistan and Odessa, Ukraine.

Are they ready to push for diplomacy?
Outside of Netanyahu, the US and UK, you will be hard pressed to find anyone that want war. I wish the US' first kneejerk reaction was diplomacy instead of lobbing missiles.

I'll answer. With regards to Palestine... if you are just boiling this down to a Jew vs Muslim confrontation, then you do not understand WTF the demographics are in the region. Very simplistic outlook on what is going on.
I was just curious as to why he was skirting the question.
I’m well aware of the Muslim/Jew hatred of one another.

I can understand why someone ould want to avoid the question... because an inconvenient answer could have a charge of anti0semitism thrown on it.

They have said that they are doing this because of the Israeli actions in Gaza. So the easiest thing to do would be to make Israel stop.
your narrative is crap, and as is pretty typical its based on some pretty serious revisionism of the timelinese.

the houthis were directly attacking Israel in October, coordinating with the Palestinians. Remember the missile being destroyed in space? That came from Yemen and was targeting mainland Israel and was launched 10/31/23.

The Houthis started attacking shipping in November. less than a month after the Palestinians sucker punched the Jews. I don't even think their main offensive had even begun at that point.

their attacks on shipping was always hitting more than Israeli ships or ships bound to Israel. One of the ships the Houthis boarded was a Russian tanker with a Russian crew bound for India IIRC. an American destroyer helped retake the ship and free the crew, because the Russian's can't protect their own.

The more secular a country is in the Middle East the better they get along with Israel.
But if Islam is a major factor in government then it’s “death to Israel “.
They’ve been fighting a religious war for 1500 years but now it’s suddenly not about that.

Sometimes simplistic is reality.

I think most people would agree that assassinating a military general or political leader is an attack. Don't play dumb.
I think most people would agree that a general travelling abroad to meet with and coordinate with and sponsor those commiting terrorist attacks becomes a legitimate target in war.

Lmfao. Ras’ ideal foreign policy: just give in to the demands of terrorists

I’m certain that won’t encourage any further aggression

I asked him earlier if it wouldn't be better to make Hamas surrender and give up the hostages. He must have missed that because I didn't get an answer.

Meanwhile, Houthi-badgers don't care. Can someone tell me what the US objectives are? Do we have a game plan? Obviously, what we have been doing is not working. Maybe it's time to pull Netanyahu's leash.

Houthis Launch Fresh Attack On US Maersk Vessel, Ignoring Navy Escort

This fresh incident is hugely significant given that after some eight or more rounds of US missile attacks and airstrikes on Houthi positions, the Iran-linked group remains undeterred, even with a US Navy escort seeking to protect an American container vessel.
