Like it or not, Kiffin getting ready to take OM to competing…

He will lead Ole Miss to the CFP in 2024, Florida will fire Napier after another abysmal season and Kiffin will be hired in Gainesville immediately following Ole Miss’s CFP defeat. Mark my words. Have yall looked at Florida’s schedule next year? There is the potential for 10 losses!!! Wouldn’t be shocked to see Napier let go during the bye week leading up to the Georgia game.

Given Kiffin's history, he'll find a way to screw it up, likely in Bobby Petrino fashion.

I have no crystal ball, but his situation will probably involve a Biloxi casino, inflatable livestock, and two or more "ladies of negotiable affection".

Harbaugh just hired an NFL agent. Harbaugh to Chargers, Kelly to Michigan and Kiffin to LSU.....I'd hate to see what Lane could do with LSU's resources.
If you’re referring to Don Yee, Harbaugh hired him months ago to negotiate an extension with Michigan. This is old news, Schefter is just being his typical self and trying to “break” news.

for SEC and CFB playoffs. He’s getting quality defensive players to join an already explosive offensive team.

My disappointment is Heupel isn’t as aggressive with the portal as are other teams. The days of building with freshmen are gone except for the 2-3 programs that can rely on loyalty from players that will wait their turn.
Kiffins class will be like his class that he had while here. All pop and no kick. Players getting kicked off the team, bar fights, arrests, no sense of team. He can bring in talent, but you have to get that talent to buy in. I hope he falls on his face.

You're kidding, right? Florida is one of THE most fertile recruiting states in the country! How can you say Florida wouldn't be a big jump from Ole Miss??? Florida would be a HELL of a lot easier to recruit to than Ole Miss or even Michigan.
I didn’t say anything about recruiting. I said I don’t think it’s the upgrade he wants. We all know he has an ego. Like him or not he’s doing well. I’m just saying I think he wants an elite program. Florida ain’t that right now.

I believe Kiffin has Fl. or Alabama in his sights. I would prefer Al. rather than Fl. The number of 4/5 recruits in Fl. is crazy. NIL money would also be better in Fl. is the Admin. gets their act together.

Say what you want about Lane Kiffin, but he has repeatedly demonstrated that he’s a $hit punk of a human being, and I feel sorry for all of the so called Vol fans who still look up to him with the anxious anticipation of a submissive whore on her knees.

Sexist , Imo.

I disagree with the assessment. Kiffin and Heupel will be connected for a number of reasons. But mainly because they are both incredibly talented, offensive minded head coaches. I believe hypo has accomplished more in a shorter period of time than Kiffin has at Ole Miss.

Kiffin has yet to even come close to beating Bama. Their biggest win of the year came against an up and down lsu team. Last year only hypo second with a completely decimated roster. We beat number one Alabama as well as beating LSU (at LSU) and reaching no1 in the cfp rankings and AP.

Some coaches use the portal more than others. If you are bringing in a huge number of players, it means you are also losing a huge number of players. Heupel has been able to keep the vast majority of his recruits the last two classes on campus. He is essentially prioritizing the culture of his program over grabbing guys out of the portal. But, he has used the portal very efficiently at times. Right now, Evan Stewart is being projected to Tennessee who was the number one receiver in the nation a couple of cycles ago.

Time will tell which coach is ultimately more successful, but I truly believe it will be Josh Heupel. If not for one bad mis-evaluation on his part we might be talking about him differently. Of course, I’m talking about Milton. This will be the first year Heupel ever filled a quarterback that didn’t throw up monster numbers. But that mistake has now remedied itself and I truly believe all of the future QBs that play under him will get back to hooker type numbers. It wasn’t just hooker… Prior to him it was Dylan Gabriel, McKenzie Milton, Drew Locke, and even going back further to Sam Bradford, who won a Heisman under Heupel’s tutelage. Bradford has numerous times mentioned Heupel’s impact in helping him develop and ultimately become the player he became.

I'm happy he's not in Knoxville. Don't really want to be associated with the kind of man whose wife leaves him and takes the kids as far away as she can. He can win all he wants but he won't at Ole miss. Just pissin away time til the next bus comes. He's a waste of a human, a grown man that acts like a child. He won't change.

Harbaugh will not have to worry about NCAA then if he goes to the NFL.

I agree with you. Heupel needs to get aggressive in the portal. The problem is Tennessee is so far behind Georgia, Alabama, in recruiting it will take years to catch up. So use the portal to your advantage.

jumping the shark a bit aren't you?

He has yet to flip anything as far as their trajectory. and making the playoffs will now be easier than making the SEC title game, I see no way he ever makes the SEC Championship with no more divisions.

no school has built a successful program with even a majority of transfer players.

Ha, ha: I wish we'd have swallowed our pride and hired him after either Jones or Pruitt. I like Heup well enough, but I think Kiffin would be better. It wasn't going to happen, and I understand why, but if I'd been AD I'd have seriously considered it. The guy has some serious chops.

You nailed it with that one. As far as looking up to Kiffin, it's not a crime to be ignorant, but it is a choice to stay that way.
