List of free agents, where will they go?

Also apparently the Eagles picked up the bonus for Vick

though sources from two teams expect him to be dealt in the preseason

I hope he is traded in the preseason, but I am not sure what his value would actually be. His bonus was just a little pocket change so I am not surprised they picked it up.

Or offensive lineman (Jake Scott)
Or linebacker (Gilbert Gardner, David Thornton)
Or tight end (Ben Hartsock)

i've never even seen them use hartsock honestly

but that's aside the point; that franchise only takes players in positions they need; the year they took scott they needed to patch up the oline; when they signed thorton, they needed to find someone to play opposite Bulluck

I was getting at they're only a "sign what we need" team, not biggest name available; this offseason it's really pretty likely that the only positions you might see them sign in free agency are CB or Dline

they were really nowhere near on the radar for the guy mentioned earlier that my post was in response to

With the trades that the Jets are pulling out of no where, don't be surprised. Moss can be shut down Revis or no Revis, and with no other TEs or WRs, it would be even worse.

yeah so they wouldnt be able to pass on offense, i got that

again though what about the Jets offense makes them seem so great that you worry they would completely carve the pats up? It surely can't be jericho

He would have to be, i'd think, or they couldnt play Kolb at all without either completely deactivating McNabb or McNabb getting hurt, which is odd since i think they're kinda big on him being their next guy (and you can't play 3rd string QB w/o deactivating 1st or 2nd string for the entire game, per NFL rules)

Which team are you referring to?

I was just saying that I find it very odd that the Titans bring in so many ex Colts players. I can understand Scott and Thornton, but Gardner, Hartsock and Harper? Those guys were not very good and Harper is old. And they also brought in Harrison for a workout. I would not be surprised if the Titans brought in Brock and/or Tim Jennings.

They dont have to play his as qb, he can be at other places on the field. I think that he is on the roster as a insurance policy for when(he is about due again) Mcnabb goes down for the season. I think Kolb is #2 by the way.

From what they showed last year, Vick's there as the wildcat, not insurance (unless both QBs get hurt), b/c last season when McNabb did get, Kolb played the rest of the game, not Vick

I'm not sure where Kolb was on the depth chart last season; i know that they had Vick as a QB on their depth chart, and the only way they could play him in the wildcat switchoff would have had for him to have been 2

so i think that makes him 2 and Kolb 3

Do you attend Washington University?

Their offense will improve, perhaps I should have rephrased my wording. It won't be easy for the Pats to beat the Jets if they have no offensive weapons, and the Jets offense will be better than last year.

Well the Titans hosted Philly DE Jason Babin today and indications are we'll make a contract offer soon, weird thing is Philly managed to include a clause in his contract where they reserve the right of first refusal. So we'll see how it plays out. Might be decent depth.

We're also hosting Philly LB Will Witherspoon tomorrow, I'd love to sign him honestly. He is a younger David Thornton/Keith Bulluck in the sense he versatile, plays both the outside/inside, and can play in the nickel defense which is key in Titan Ds.

Well T.O. is finally visiting the Bengals tomorrow. Its pretty much a done deal that he'll leave Cincy with a signed contract, the entire NFL knew it. With him coming for a visit that pretty much seals it in my opinion.

I guess the Bengals waited long enough for TO to realize that this is the only place he could sign and lowered his asking price. They also are bringing Antonio Bryant as well, I guess Owens finally woke up and got his butt in order. I wonder if they sign both...

Regardless the League Office will be having some headaches come game time... I'm actually looking forward to the TO/Ocho Show :dance2:

Well if he stays in Cincy then that should leave Marshall to the Seahawks

If he ends up in Cincy, it will be interesting to see how the distribution of footballs will play out and what will happen if and when TO doesnt get the ball as much as he wants.

the 49ers sign david carr; Sorgi is now a giant; Browns trade for Seneca Wallace; and LT visiting with the Vikings are some of the things FA wise going on the last day or two

this is most likely the lull period though, at least for a while

Thomas Jones to KC.

Leigh Bodden deal finalized: CB Leigh Bodden's contract with New England is a four-year, $22 million deal that includes $10 million in guaranteed

Pats sign Marques Murrell.

Jamal Williams signed a three year deal with Denver.

Also it looks like the Titans are preparing to sign a deal with Witherspoon, an agreement could happen soon. Also looks like they are working on a contract for Babin as well.

T.O. is on a plane bound to Cincy, will get there tonight and have dinner with the coaches and will wrap up meeting tomorrow. I'm still 110% sure T.O. won't leave 'Natti without a signed contract.

Absolutely terrific school for Political Science and Engineering.

I'm more involved in the pre-medicine/psychology areas of the school, but I have a bunch of friends who are majoring in political science and a bunch who are engineers. But yeah, I hear a lot of good things about both departments all the time. Thanks :)

After trading for Seneca Wallace, the Browns will bring in Delhomme tomorrow, leading to alot of talk that either Quinn is going to get cut, get traded, or that the team is looking to trade, draft, or sign another QB

....I find this odd honestly; I didn't think that QB was the real problem up there, nor that it was one they would be cleaning house for

Cincinnati Bengals signed Antonio Bryant today to a $28 million contract (near what they gave Laveraneus Coles); passed on T.O. after bringing both WRs in

This of course should too make Seattle the main contenders for Brandon Marshall (while there is word that Miami, New England, or the Jets might be interested, it has to be remembered that Marshall is still tendered for a 1st round pick being given to Denver in return)
