List your candidates to replace Holly......

I have read all the valid comments about Becky Hammond. She obviously impressed Pop, with her BBIQ. My question is could she and the fan base handle the concern about changing her citizenship to Russia in 2008 because she wasn't invited to the U.S. Olympic tryouts. Could it have a negative impact on recruiting?

I am quite aware that many WNBA players augment their income by playing in Russia during their offseason. That doesn't require you to change your citizenship like she did in order to play on the Russian Olympic team. I also think she would be a HR hire.

She didn't change her citizenship, she acquired dual citizenship. Go read up on what she did. It makes sense and was a lucrative business decision for her. I would love to see her coaching the Lady Vols.

Please pardon my ignorance. I didn't realize that naturalized citizenship and dual citizenship were the same thing. Lucrative business decision or not, she chose to play against the U.S. in the Olympics and I thought that could possibly be a concern for the parents of some recruits. I'll just STFU and read only from now on. My apologies.

You already have a winning coach and program. Who talks about getting rid of a coach who wins 80% of her games, has conference championships and has landed 2 of the best players in the country in Mercedes Russell and Diamond DeShields. I looked at Hoopgurlz today and the top players mostly have Tennessee on there list as finalists for 2017.

Personally I am PO'd CHW's AA Department sold her out by not giving her a longer contract extension. Sends a wrong message. Recruits want to know their 4 years are going to be stable with no big changes in coaches. So put the blame where it belongs...On Your Athletic Director.

Hey Holly or Maria welcome to the board :hi: but change is needed everyone in the country can see it...LV just need a new coach that will lead them to be consistent at the top again and not slipping since they have been since 2009....I mean since when has winning the SEC tourney title or regular season replaced getting final 4's and National Titles

Carolyn Peck! Will be hard to get anyone from schools like NC, SC, Texas, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, NC State.

Isn't she the Jon Gruden of women's college basketball? Sure, her name would come up for every search I guess, but is she going to leave ESPN...for this kind of pressure?

Her last stint as HC at UF she was a sub .500 coach, never made it past the second round.

Like I said go read up on the whole story. She was not on the original list of 23 to be invited for tryouts. She didn't think she was going to get a chance to play in the Olympics at all. There is a lot more to the story than people think. It's interesting. I'm not sure why you got so upset with what I said but maybe you would be a lot happier not even reading the board. Seems like a defensive gesture to cover up for not knowing the facts, but I was just discussing the situation.

Kim Mulkey - Home run
Nikki Fargas - Dark horse in which a return home may set of a spark of greatness

Are some of you really that uninformed? Are you not paying attention to the team performances of these coaches you are throwing out there. Nikki Caldwell is probably toast at LSU and yet you want to hire her here? She has had next to zero recruiting success since leaving UCLA. Dismissing Holly to hire her is a downgrade.

Brenda Frese (Maryland). Solid program, solid coach. That's who I would go after. Oh, and she can also recruit.....something that Holly can't do!

This is now a Top 20 program at best. Why would a coach of a better team leave The game has changed and better program support is evident everywhere. A coach would have to feel in trouble (Duke) to jump. This is not replacing Pat. This is replacing a fumbling program, as in no recruits for next season

Bravo. I love sarcasm and am prone to employ it myself.

Don't forget the blue font, though - it's clear to most that you're having fun playing an airheaded CHW supporter - but that kind of edgy humor sometimes doesn't go over. Believe it or not some of these blue-wearing Lady Vol zealots are extremely literal and don't have a broad sense of humor.
