Living in Bama

You brought up a comparison between the literal probation Alabama endured versus the figurative probation of Tennessee. I never suggested that Tennessee actually got slapped by the NCAA worse than Bama. Only that Tennessee's self-inflicted wounds have been more damaging than Bama's sanctions.

Bama's sanctions are self inflicted.

No. Our santions were deserved, but they were inflicted by the NCAA. No one forced Tennessee to herp and derp their way through the last 5 years.

Truer words were never spoken. Mike Hamilton buried the entire Men's Athletic Department deeper than any NCAA sanctions could ever do.

Nothing to correct. It's absolutely taunting. And lately, it's been a statement of fact.

Yes you taunt when you win and cry when you lose

I was attempting to denigrate the entire state, clearly. That's the problem with you Bama fans--you set your sights too low. Moving into a double-wide instead of a single and marrying your second cousin instead of your first, don't mean your king of the world.

You were attempting to denigrate the state because of Alabama football. You aren't astute enough to realize it displayss how much Bama football success has injured you emotionally.

There is a least 2 "Harvey Updike's" in every small town in Alabama and several women that look like him as well.

But yet, you are here. I'm sure he's not on a bama site. That speaks volumes as to where you are emotionally.

Live in Alabama. Is there anything redeemable about Alabama other than the Football program? Do tell. So pal, it does suck living in a state where the only claim to fame is a successful sport. While the State of Alabama cannot afford to pay teachers, the Bama's fans are teabagging or killing trees. Not even bring up Players bragging about there money troubles being over( dee liner)

Oh, so harsh words make it worse?

Bama had fewer losing seasons under our sanctions that Tennessee has had without them.

Everytime I hear Alabama fans making fun of Tennessee and Dooley, I think of this quote from Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

I see you've decided to join rifleman in displaying your bitterness toward Bama. It's understandable.

In regard to your suck statement,I don't believe that success comes from where you live. There are many happy people who live in shacks and many miserable people who live in mansions.

Well, try to save some of that "terrible resolve" for the ducks. And remember kids, If you're snoozing, you're losing. BIG!!

Some of us are happy most days, then there are just the TROLLS. I guess, you can be happy or miserable and still be a TROLL. How Happy do you have to be to be a TROLL alabama fan? Or how miserable for that matter?

You should think about that. Look at the trajectory of both programs since Fulmer decided to play PI. A sleeping giant awoke indeed.

Some people prefer the friendly confines of a forum where fellow fans will agree with them, give them confirmation when they say something derogatory about a hated rival, and generally not engage them in anything while some people go where there are few fellow fans to support them because it is a more stimulating environment.

I've lived many years in both. The hilarity of it is that they say exactly the same things about Tennessee fans, and get equally pissed when you try to explain that there isn't all that much difference in the grand scheme of things. I learned through the years that if the worst thing I can say about someone is they're an Alabama fan (or Gators, or Auburn, or whatever), that's not so bad after all. Not everyone is like that, I know. I have had people through the years that prejudged me based solely on the fact that they knew me as a guy who wore orange all the time. It's silly, but it is what it is.

Sounds like your trying to tell these homies they may be struggling with personal insecurity issues? I've felt for years the insistence on that yellow/orange motif, was in reality, a cry for help. I could see where having an historic top 20 team, who insist on comparing themselves to another historic top 5 program, in time, could have a devastating emotional effect on the human psyche.
