Lone fan awaits Ducks in Eugene

The rest of the Oregon fans were waiting for Auburn at their airport, along with UT fans apparently. They were heard chanting "SEC". Guess they felt left out.

no they don't

http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_records/Attendance/2009.pdf

if cal's stadium was the size of oregons it would have a sellout streak as well.

Yes they do.

2010 attendance was close to 60,000 per game. Thats more than your bears on average. It wouldn't be far fetched to say that Oregon would sell out a 70K stadium pretty easily. Where as your Bears can not. Hell Cal didn't have a single sellout last year.

Lets see the 2010 Stats

So even if we reduced the California stadium capacity by 15,000 seats you still wouldn't have a sellout streak.

Any questions?

so in 09 their attendance was lower despite winning the pac-10 and cal sucking. and in 2010 it was slightly higher despite being in teh NC race and cal sucking. forgive me for not being overly impressed. this was the first year in 4 that cal didn't have better attendance.

i don't live in that world. you fans have always been massive bandwaggoners.

Want to go look up the attendance stats from '04 for us? You should remember that year for Oregon. We sucked. Fairly sure we still sold out every game.

You guys should have better attendance every year.

why? there is nothing to do in oregon. there is no coincidence the biggest fanbases in the country tend to be in small and rural cities. you don't compete with 6 nfl, baseball, and the nba teams. you are literally the only game in town.

No need to. I think every fanbase would have given up after the amount of success in that time period.

cal drew twice that amount at least during the holmoecaust. and we don't exactly have spectacular fans. better than oregon's, but that is a low bar.

Forget 2009 and 2010

The official capacity is 54,000, although attendance is routinely around 59,000 and has exceeded capacity for every game since the most recent expansion in 2002

The fact remains that Cal would not have a sellout streak(or even come close to it) even if your stadium was the same size.

I give them credit. And as a bear fan, I wouldn't be questing Duck fan loyalty.

And by that same token, millions more people live in the Bay Area than in Eugene, therefore many more potential asses in thr stands.

absolutely not true. they call it a sellout when they sell 55,000 tickets

Yea and Berkeley is a party town right?

Never heard someone plan a vacation for Berkeley and I use to be a travel agent.

and why doesn't this translate to more asses in the stands anywhere else? cal is not alone with this. considering we had the worst facilities in teh country and sucked for 60 years (and still suck to some degree) i'd say 60K a game is pretty damn good.

Okay lets lower it to 55K...even still you wouldn't have a sellout streak.

Last year your boys put 44K in the stadium against Washington. Conversely Oregon put 60,017 for the same game.

16,000 difference.

exactly the same. meaningless game against sucky opponents. undefeated team playing a rival. can't imagine why they drew better. and btw the washington game was the worst attendance in 5 years by a wide margin. the prior 4 years we would have sold out every game in their stadium.

BART is sketchy as hell. At least in my experience.

compared to what? it's the cleanest and most lily white public transportation system in any major city i've ever seen. don't get out much do we?
