looks like Jazmine is leaving

Darth, Jas was new, improved and better in part to Kellie's mentorship. Compare her freshmen season to this season. What she did for Jas , she can do for Horston.
At least Jordan will give 100% and not tank the team to make her exodus a lot easier.

They are two very different players who came along under very different circumstances their first years. I have said Jordan is a future All-America talent you can build a team around. Just not at point guard.

As of today, I still count 0 point guards on the roster...

In her defense, she was playing behind one of the top 10 players of the upcoming season (per ESPN) as a freshman. Unfortunately, Jazmine's role this past season was such that fans aren't going to realize just how good she was until next season when she's gone...
While that's true, she wasn't impressive in her limited minutes relieving Evina last season.

Do you agree with ESPN that Evina is top 10. I was a fan of hers and think she's pretty good, but that's stretching it a bit ...

2020 Player Statistics

This site lists 2020 stats for top 50 SEC players for rebounding, steals, blocks, 3 point shooting, assists, and more. Jordan, as a Freshman, had more steals, rebounds, blocks, assists, and scoring (including 3 point shots of which Jaz did not make the top 50 list), than Jaz did.

Of course, Jordan’s turnovers hurt her ratio, but she did improve on that, and still out scored, rebounded, assisted, etc., Jaz.

Some of you who know the names of other schools’ point guards, will be able to see where Jordan and Jaz stack against them.

Jaz will have the opportunity at Kentucky to get credit for an assist, every time she passes to Howard, but I don’t care to hear about it. She left Tennessee to play with a conference rival team, against Tennessee.

Without going into criticism at this point, I do not believe Jaz’s action is “a blow to our program,” and I am not “coping” with her defection. Actually, I was relieved. Do wish Zaay could have stayed.

Also, I thought Rae was our most improved player last season. She’s listed with Jordan in the top 50 lists, behind Rennia. GLV!!!

Yeah, I caught you and you moved the goal posts.

Are you seriously comparing Massengill to Ionescu? Why?

- We were only talking about what is a superior A/TO ratio.
- You said 5/2 A/TO was superior.
- I showed you that Massengill surpassed that number

End of story. It’s really ok to admit when you are wrong. I won’t think any less of you.

Ok I’m going to go out on a limb here... I’m just going to say I see what he is saying about being the difference between superior and very good here. Because when I think of superior pg I think of Ionescu but very good ratio and distributor I think Jaz there is a clear level.

Other than that there is no comparison. Although Jaz is also a decent rebounder

Your obsession with me is getting weird. Don't make me put you on ignore too...

I don’t like seeing the two of you go at it like this; and Lucy can certainly defend herself if she’s so inclined.
You wanted another coach! And he might have been great for the Lady Vols. And, I see you as one of the brightest basketball minds on this forum. But, you take EVERY opportunity to tell us the latest about your boy, Walz. We get it!
I think Lucy is as relieved as I am that you can FINALLY put his picture back in the front of your wallet ...at least until next season.
Cheers, Darth!

Jordan is my choice for PG,,, Jaz' a-to% was better but Jordan's production per minute was greater...I will take heart and effort over stats from my PG spot every time

I will add, Jordan posted 3 different workouts over the past few weeks, now Tess has followed her example

Give me a leader they want to follow over a leader who leaves

That might have been what he was saying but the discussion was about what is a superior assist/turnover ratio.

Well, that was close to admitting you were wrong....lol.

Goodnight Gracie.

And that makes as little sense as everything else you have posted to me.

Whatever!
You look for flaws in me and what I write,,guess what I'm not perfect.

The meaning of that statement,,,Politicians dodge admitting being wrong too.
They circumnavigate the inquiry by misdirection

As for HS,,,if you played or had a player in HS,,,you know coaches there have to be politicians to have any chance of being accepted,,,I don't play the acceptance game. I coach! My output is my input

Now pick this apart too,,,,,,,,.................

In my PG, I'll take the ability to take care of the ball over whatever the cliche "heart and effort" means and stats every time.

I'm sorry this came down to some contest btw Jaz and Jordan bc I've said a million times I think they would be great together. Their skills compliment each other nicely. Yep, Jordan is probably going to outscore Jaz every time; its obvious that Horston has potential to be a great scorer.

But it also happens that the one area Jaz is clearly better at, handling the ball in order to provide opportunities to score, is the most important one for a PG. Lack of that crucial skill is the reason JH seems like a much more natural shooting guard to me. I'm still puzzled why anyone actually wants to see JH burdened with playing point. Even Kara Lawson struggled with that her first couple of yrs when she replaced Ace Clement at point. Is it that necessary that JH have the ball in her hands constantly? Even if JH vastly improves her handle this summer, I want her more freed up to score.

I'm getting a little worried over whether there will be enough balls to go around for Rae, Davis, and JH at the same time next season lol. I see a whole lot of 1 on 1 ball coming our way in place of an offensey offense.

I'll skip to your last line...This is where we see what kind of coach Coach K is going to be.

Please stop making me agree with you, that's twice today. No question, if KJH can tame those 3 wild ponies into an actual offense she will be the coach of the decade. IMO, it will also make all the difference in our being competitive with good teams. Against bad teams, any of the three are likely to go off big, pad their stats, and the one on one-ing looks ok. Just not sure it gets us long term success. Please Lord, let this transformation be!

People often forget why they know you and only remember that they know you.
Maybe we're on that path
I know I'd prefer it

The funny thing is some of the same people that bashed and said Jaz shouldn’t have been a HS all American , she can’t shoot, she can’t play D, all of it are now oh poor Jaz and using this opportunity to bash Kellie because she couldn’t get Jaz to stay🤔

I mean the girl improved tremendously under the new staff and their style of play actually fit her more so than others on our team.

Wishing her a healthy long career...
Jas didnt want to stay , but when you make interview statements like ' I gave Coach Harper a chance ' lead me to reflect upon who is speaking and are you 'all that'.
It also lead you into Jas pre-meditated thoughts and intents. Yes, you gave her a chance but she gave you plenty. Kellie gave YOU a bench player, a starting role and a starting point guard role at that. She incorporated her point guard knowledge into YOU. Something Holly didn't do.
She pampered YOU before she catered to a number two AA. One thing I do know is , if Westbrook , Hayes and Green ( wasnt injuried)) ) YOU wouldn't have been UT starting point guard.
Let's all get real on this , A/T ratio are not developed in the backyard or alone. Kellie.
Remember those monster rebounding games ? Kellie and staff.
Four things Kellie done to achieve success here right off the bat. One, to make Zaay her principal scorer and threat. Two, Sugar Rae her sixth man and tool box.
Three, Davis as the senior leader and silent assassin .
Four , Jas as her 'mini me' and staple.
With the exception of Zaay's injury, It still worked.
IT WORKED. The Ladies had good chemistry and blah blah blah.
And then notice Jas lack of effort , why Rennia had Jordan ' under her wing' instead of You.
It would have been really difficult for YOU to go to Kentucky and to be with Howard and the rest, if YOU
as the starting point was doing it with a team that was enjoying success with its first year coach replacement.
SO YOU gave less effort , regressed , stop rebounding , stop finding players at their spots, stop being what CJH
blessed YOU with . I SAW YOU on court acting like you wanted to be elsewhere or playing with anyone else.
I saw you rise under Kellie and then purposely harness your potential and teaching to serve your pre-mediated intents. 'Me....me...me ..me 'was how another poster posted. Don't make like you was giving Kellie a chance, Superstar. You knew what you was going to do before the season started, never counted on your teammates or success to excel . Hope it was worth it. I saw you... I saw you do it to make it easier to go thru the portal.
Come on everyone , don't be naive to sports players , even on the college level.

Gave her a chance and found her lacking.
I think it’s the other way around. Kellie gave Jazz a chance like she did all of the players. Re said it at a presser: “We’re good when we do what Kellie tells us to do.” Jazz is not a coachable player. She won’t start at KY.

Coach, Tess has as pretty a demon stroke as I have ever seen...If Kellie will design plays to get the girl open for the demon 3 ball, forger about it...

I'm a much bigger fan today of the demon ball, than I am the old fashioned way of pounding the ball inside, until the cows come home approach...That approach leads to so many turnovers, thus the root of the turnover plague that ruined our chances last season of being a contender....(There's your cue Coach....Brando.)

I marvel at the number of posters that keep attacking you my friend.....All you try and do is give them sound advise, but like children being force fed by their mothers, they just look away and complain....Someday you will be justified....

I will remember the successes and forget the failures.
And appreciate even more, consistent people like you, my friend

Maybe he finds her coachable. She might do well at Kentucky, which is really not a very good team except for Howard. I didn't see any improvement from one season to the next. Jazz can't create, she can't penetrate and dish, she doesn't see the floor, she can't direct the offense.

She was not known for her drives to the basket, more of a pass it into the post approach....I'm tired of talking about the girl that bad mouthed our coach on her way out of here....

She gave Kellie a chance.....bla...bla...bla....

Enough already with this girl....Move on guys...

UK was pretty damn good last year, and they'll be better next year. They beat Tennessee by 21 points. If they're not a good team, I'd hate to hear what you think about Tennessee.

Not sure what you saw to come up with that assessment of Jaz, but it wasn't last season. Tennessee hasn't had a great half court offense for years, but without Jaz it would have been goddawful. She also could get into the paint for a pull up jumper at will. If anything, she didn't look to score enough.
