Looks like Jimbo Fisher is out.

If they are letting him go now, they likely already have/are close to an agreement with someone.

Likely someone just like Jimbo. A guy who can’t coach.

Just when we think American college football can't get more insane, it shows us that it's just getting started. The money we pay college coaches is insane, and then to throw away $75 million because a coach has not met the expectations of insane fans is also...what lies beyond insane? But then you can't proudly look at your Aggie toilet-seat cover, or wear your Aggie socks and belt, if the team is not winning sufficiently.....Oh, my.

Solid guys but I think they don’t make that financial move without having top tier guys line up to interview.

I am always interested to see what James Franklin does when other notable jobs open up. He’s hit his ceiling at Penn State.
Texas A&M just fired James Franklin dressed as Jimbo Fisher.

Not sure who they think they're going to get. Matt Campbell hasn't been as good lately. Maybe the Toledo coach? Kiffin likely won't move.

How many coaches are going to come there when you win and still get fired? Just seems like a bad culture to come into with a very short leash.

Neighbor is a big A&M booster. He "claims" that they are gonna make a run at Dabo.

Actually, it kind of makes sense I guess. He's getting fed up with Clemson fans.

I personally suggested Gruden. He did not get the joke.

I mean, that's one of the few names that make sense. Debore(sp?) At Washington has been solid. Would he want to jump? Lanning leave Oregon already? I don't personally want Dabo anywhere near the SEC, not because he scares me but because I just don't like the guy and the way he handles certain things.

When aTm had the #1 recruiting class, I saw an article that said every team that has had a #1 recruiting class (in X number of years) has won the National Championship within four years of the #1 class.

I don’t see that happening at aTm with a coaching change.

Do they go after Lane Kiffin? 🤔

Kiffin, Elko, Traylor, Leipold & Norvell are probably the first calls.

Hearing Lanning (Ore) & Klieman (KSU) as options. One source threw out Kingsbury, which would be insane.

I think they go after a Texas guy or someone with a proven record rebuilding programs like Lance.

Dabo would legitimately be the best coach for A&M. The cult is missing is it's leader and we already know Dabo has that holier than thou attitude when it comes to the game. Can't think of a better fit, honestly.

If he can’t handle Clemson fans if won’t be able to handle the SEC. Until Saban leaves it’s 1. Bama 2. UGA. Nobody proven takes that position.

They would be smart for Kiffin. He’s hit his ceiling at Ole Miss. the talent gap will never get resolved there.
