Lou Holtz predicts the NC game (merged)

What ever happened to broadcasters having to be unbiased?? Lou Holtz is so blatently ND-bias it's ridiculous. I don't think that's very fair that he's always bringing up ND. He's basically always saying "ND is where to go if you want to play college football" or "ND will go undefeated this year" when they clearly won't. It should be some sort of recruiting violation and ESPN should fine him every time he shows that he's clearly being biased.

I bet if Fulmer took an ESPN job and always talked about Tennessee, someone would say something about that.

With the way Fulmer is acting right now, I don't think we have to worry about Fulmer rooting for Tennessee anytime soon.

If anything, the last few months have shown us that Fulmer may be hyper-critical of Tennessee and just pile on...

If, and I do mean if, this were to be the NC game then Florida would win by a score of about 50 to 6.

If you look at ND schedule you'd see why he picked them. I don't think it's that far fetched a 1 loss ND squad gets the nod......

....not that I agree, but I've seen worse picks.

Anybody seen Notre Dame's schedule? It's definitely a reach, but they are going to win a bunch of games this year.

Indeed. Their schedule is about as vanilla as it gets... but to win a bunch of games they would have to NOT play like crap... Charlie "The Superior One" Weis has not demonstrated he can do that with his own top recruiting classes.

Word is, their receivers are top notch but Clausen may be the next Jonathan Crompton.

First, everyone knows Lou Hotlz is a Notre Lame and USC jr homer and people just look over it. On the bright side it is quality entertainment listening to his mumbling rants about how "great" Notre Lame is.

Second, Notre Lame's OOC games are as pathetic as LSU's OOC games. Remember all of ND's schedule is OOC.

Third, If ND goes 9-3 with their schedule and gets into the BCS, I will lose all respect for the BCS. Some ESPN analysts are predicting Notre Lame going 9-3 and playing in the BCS.

ESPN is what ESPN is. You know that teams like USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas and teams from the big markets are gonna get the premium coverage (ie, New York, Boston, etc.) I despise Notre Dame and if befuddles me why they play them up the way they do. At least USC contends for championships (even though their Conference defenses are as soft as Charmin most years). Too bad Mark May and his Notre Dame hatred was nowhere to be found to offer an honest opinion about Clausen and the Domers. ESPN is long past unbiased, watch their slobbering love affair with the NY Yankees and you will see that, but oh well that's the way it is unfortunately.

Lets see how bias you are? Who has a better chance of winning a NC. ND or UT? You go with what you know.

That doesn't change the obvious here. Your former coach has turned himself into Corso. Congrats.

ND has a better chance than Vandy too, does that help?

Im going to twist the knife a little on that gas pumping thing. Alshon is having one helluva preseason. You are really going to hate that you missed on him. He wont be pumping gas unless its all over the vols right before SOS throws the match.

It was truly an enjoyable experience to watch the Fighting Chickens turn Lou Holtz into a laughingstock while he was coaching in Columbia...

Yes I remember sitting in Neyland when the Vols squeeked out an overtime victory against Lou and the Gamecocks. All those Vol fans really werent laughing. I saw kicking pouting and cursing even after the game.

Didnt the fightin chickens beat the vols last year?

We spend a lot of time on this board getting heckled by Alabama fans and Florida fans (aka teams that currently own us). Its good to see that you're not going to let crazy coaches, drunken quarterbacks and over 100 years of football futility keep you from getting in the fight. :good!:

What's happened for the last 20 years? Exactly, you guys have beaten twice and the 2 teams you just happened to beat were the 2 worst teams we have had in the last 20 years. The only match Spurrier is throwing any where is the match he is throwing down on the golf course after he lights his Virginia Slim

The Fightin' Chickens have won 3 times. After 2 of those losses Tenn. fired it's head coach. The other time the OC "quit" the next day.

What does that tell you? Tennessee fans are upset about only being able to squeak out a victory against a school like South Carolina. South Carolina fans are prepared to erect a statue for Spurrier for having a record worse than Fulmer in the last four years.
