11-1 isn't much of a reach if they can play some average to above average ball. Depending on where everyone else is at, that's often enough for a shot at the title for a Notre Dame team.

I don't even have the energy to get upset over this clown anymore. I get so sick of watching him pick ND and South Carolina every week.
I just can't understand how he still has a job. That Ask Dr. Lou segment last year was one of the worst bits in television history. I also really think he spit in my eye once.

I think 'Holtz is an idiot but its very possible this could happen....For 1 reason only...They don't play anyone...They play USC and if they were to keep that close, the writers LOVE Notre Dame and all they need to do is go 11-1 or 10-2 and they might put them in the NC game....It's stupid but lets look back to when they had Brady Quinn. They were an average team and never beat teams that were good and yet went to 2 BCS games....Holtz is a dumbass but the media loves Beano Cook and his fighting Irish.

I hope it doesn't happen though, I hope they go 3-9

His reasoning was that 5 years ago when Meyer was hired by FL and Weiss was hired by ND he said that within 5 years they would be playing for the NC. He said that this is the 5th year so he cannot go back on it now.

I hate Lou Holtz, how is he a freakin analyst. He cant talk and when he does all that comes out is complete homer bull#%&#. If Fulmer ever started saying UT will beat UF every year and win the Natl Title every year, I would say hey thanks for making us look like idiots, ND SUX!
