Back before UF expanded the north end zone it was pretty easy to jump the fence and get into Florida Field. It wasn't The Swamp back then, and security was non-existant Friday night before gameday.

I reckon nobody cared about gator football back in those days huh LW.... lol!!!!

Nobody outside of Gainesville cared back then....now it's national news when our coach steps down. Now UT fans hate UF about as much as they hate Bama....wonder why that is?

Bottom line is we've always cared...we just weren't winning championships. Now that we've won a few SEC and national championships supposedly we didn't care when we weren't winning?

Brilliant.... :loco:

Winning brings out obnoxious front runners.

Tennessee will be seeing this around the middle of the 2012 season.

Florida Field sold out back in the 70s and 80s when UF couldn't sniff an SEC title....that was my only point.

Winning brings out front runners within the camp, and a bunch of haters outside the camp.

I know but the fanbase wasn't full of loudmouths that started supporting the Gators after Spurrier started winning.

Tennessee got a huge number of fans when Fulmer was beating everyone but Spurrier.

They eventually became UGA fans, then UF fans once Urban started winning again.

I'm saying the majority of a fanbase has stuck with a team forever but they aren't the *******s that give the fanbase a bad name.

No one has stories about piss being thrown on them in the swamp back in the 70's.

So you think Tennessee will be good next year? I remember you seemed concerned about the defense.

The offense will be good enough to mask a young D imo.

Tennessee is going to lose both safeties after this season IMO and the replacements will be asked to cover up a lot of sloppy CB play.

I foresee a lot of shootouts in '12

Barring a bunch of injuries and transfers, our D will be loaded in '12.

The offense is anyone's guess at this point.

Both of my brothers will tell you that the night crowds at LSU blow every stadium in the nation away. One of my brothers swears the crowd noise caused his jersey sleeve to move! Fir those thinking that Neyland is the loudest, you will be disappointed to learn that it is not as loud as you would think a 100,000 stadium would be.

Who did they play for? Or were they wearing a jersey in the stands?
