LSU DB Tyrann Mathieu kicked off team

He will go to an FCS school for a year and try and get drafted. I personally think he's over rated. He makes things happen in open field, but gets burnt way too many times in pass coverage.

How's he compare to the UF corner that went to N. Alabama and got drafted in the 2nd round by the rams? He seemed like he had more problems than Tyrann.

His coverage skills are very limited........he made his money coming off the corner in blitz packages. I think he still gets to the NFL one day, but only as a low round draft pick to undrafted.

He's a playmaker but his coverage skills need to improve.

He gets away with it because the other 10 guys on LSU's defense are so talented he can just fly around and hawk the ball.

check out his wikipedia page - direct quote - He also has been known to eat cobras and generally not give a thought to what others think.

and anyone who is 1st team all SEC has NFL talent - period - there are DB's all over the NFL who don't cover that well - if you can come up with big plays then they will find a spot for you

Really too bad but glad Les pulled the plug. You just can't let this go on and on. He'll still go 1st round.

He's definitely not first round any more. He'll drop to the mid-late second round at least.

Most likely, he'll be taken in the 3rd-4th round. He's got first round talent, but teams are getting serious about character issues.

Not that it would ever happen, but wouldn't the NCSU/Amerson crowd crap their shorts if we picked up Honey Badger? It is too funny to just think about it.
