Anyone that thinks a man making as much $$$$$ as Pearl was at that time…who was destined to make even more $$$$ here than that….who had achieved ROCK STAR level status at a SEC school…Co-Eds doing yard work in the heat at his house always coming in for 2 hour water breaks while by fall he needs a farmer to come bale his front yard hay…on the verge of being a year in/out perennial top 10 program……

If you think HOT DOGS were the only thing getting put in BUNS at that or any of his cookout/BBQ…
or it wasn’t Benjamin Franklin’s lettuce served on them burgers……

With Mike Hamilton asking him about all of it and Pearl was like….WELLLLLLL…..

Dale Brown was awful. How do you not get past the second round with Shaq and Chris Jackson/Mahmoud Abdul-Raouf?

I hear he was a pretty crappy human also.

I'll you why, I was there, Lethal Weapon 3 balled out. Jackson couldn't guard Kenny Anderson and fouled out. Dennis Scott was bombing 3's, while Brian Oliver did his thing. LSU's whole team was in foul trouble, too

Brown was a very average coach. Being a great recruiter allowed him to go to 2 Final Fours.

I cant comment on the quality of person he is. I never heard anything real bad on him except the rumors of him being a cheater. I did hear the owner of Ruth's Chris Steak house got mad at DB because he swallowed about $100,000 one year in unpaid BB players tabs. Then, later, in NCAA reports, it was confirmed....

Didn’t one of those final 4 teams have Ricky Blanton? if so, my memory was that group being far from a bunch of elite recruits
