Lsu players only meeting

I would guess they’ve been watching the tape and realize they up against a big challenge. They are going to need to put up a lot of points to ensure a win. And they see the most likely path to that is an air attack.

That meeting wasn't the whole team, just the QB and the WRs. Probably needed given what I've seen, but not some sign of a culture problem.

First sign of rot within the system.....

Can't remember a time when a "players only meeting" represented a good thing
I remember having this discussion with someone on here one time when word leaked we had a players only meeting and I was like "c'mon dude when has this ever been good? You know we'd think it was bad if it was another team." Denial though, it ain't just the river in Egypt.

Sometimes that backfires but more times than not it inspires and they come out on fire. Vols better buckle up and bring the AAA game!!
What it does is makes them vulnerable.

If things go well for the Tigers in the first half of the game Saturday, yes, this meeting can be an inspirational event for them. But if there's even a little friction, those loose threads are prone to unraveling even faster.

This was a move of desperation by a team that hasn't yet gelled.

Go Vols!

Players only meetings are almost always good things. It’s where leaders step and lead. When I played baseball at Belmont many years ago we were just going through the motions and losing game after game one year. We had a players only meeting to air some grievances, some leaders stepped up and we won the next day 22-1.
